"I lived in Southern Vietnam for a year and frequently made trips up to Hanoi. I stayed at Royal palaceI every time. The staff makes you feel so welcome with smiles and friendly hellos. They are super nice and helpful.
The hotel is located in the Old Quarter walking distance from most things. You can get a real feel for the city and the Old Quarter.
This is a small hotel, and it isn't a 5 star hotel so don't expect it to be. But for the price, the service, the location, and everything else it is really unbeatable. Overall, Royal palace is a great stay don't miss the opportunity to meet the wonderful people who work there.
