This place is fantastic, such a beautiful location, and the friendliest staff. We stayed in the Berry Patch Cabin and loved it. The cabin was spotless! The only downfall is that the beds are incredibly uncomfortable. For the price you pay for the cabin, I would recommend updating the beds. I also waited 30 minutes to order my drinks from the bar. The bartender did seem very new. There were only 4 of us, and it took 30 minutes to order two drinks.

This is an iconic stop during Sturgis bike week. It’s in Spearfish canyon with great views. You have trails to the falls from the hotel and can have your wine in the big fireplace room or out along the trout laden creek. We love all the rustic furnishings. If you are into the UTV rentals, they are across from the parking lot. Everything was excellent and we hope to spend a week there some day

A beautiful property where all the staff made us feel at home. Great restaurant across rhe street and just a 10 or 15 minute ride to Deadwood where we enjoyed dinner offerings. Great hikes right on the property and fun bar and seating area in the lobby. All around great!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was easy to get food at the restaurant across the road and we enjoyed the hikes surrounding the premises. Our fur baby had fun on the hikes also and the waterfalls were beautiful! We hope to stay here again one day.

Beauty, relaxation and friendly property

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Spearfish Canyon Lodge. Our Calamity Jane suite was spacious and wonderfully decorated. The spectacular lobby with soaring ceilings made for a lovely spot to relax. The front deck overlooking the excellent Latchstring restaurant and canyon was icing on the cake. Very dog friendly with well-behaved dogs joining fellow travelers. Our favorite stay during a Black Hills vacation.
