My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The location is definitely off the beaten track and so peaceful. The staff were super friendly and we enjoyed the cafe, the pottery studio, pool, animal feeding, walking tracks. Some things like toasters, BBQ, could do with an upgrade 😉

Like all Motels in the town, the Azalea Motel is very close to the highway, and those trucks roll through the town 24 hrs a day! When viewing the pictures on hotels.com, be aware that no food is served any more, and the garden is nowhere near as well kept as shown (April 2026) - although I did enjoy spotting a few different birds enjoying the nectar from a large callistemon in the garden."
