Disliked: Cleanliness
Unfortunately we arrived to find a wedding about to start. We notified the host and he responded that the listing states there may be other events taking place which is true. However it also states that the host would let the guest know so we could cancel or choose not to book. He didn’t let us know. We would not have booked. This is also a violation of VRBO terms of service as they do not allow shared spaces on their platform. There was nowhere to rebook us as it was Valentines week d so our option was to cancel and get a refund or stay and try to work something out with the owner. We decided to stay since my husband tracked 9 hours to visit me while I’m currently caring for my mother. We entered the lost to find it filthy. The floors had hundreds of dead lady bugs, candy, pocket change, salt packets, on the floor. The shower was also dirty. We notified the owner and sent photos to him and his response was to send a cleaner. My wife had already swept and was the shower at this point. A cleaner showed up around 5pm so now what? We take out luggage back outside through the wedding which we already had to bring in through the wedding so she can clean or we sit here and wait in the loft while she cleans? Warring more of our time? We had already lost our dinner reservation by this point due the back and forth about the wedding. So we stayed and now we are trying to leave and had to have wedding guests move their cars. How uncomfortable this was. VRBO will be refunding us.
