This was a first for our family of four and two pups. We had so much fun. The hosts were truly accommodating and incredible. We loved everything about this cabin, especially walking down to the lake. It was not only a great workout going up and down, but it was such a fun time for us and the dogs. The s’mores were a great touch, as well as having all the appliances needed to make a meal. We look forward to booking again and prayerfully making this an ongoing winter break. And I must add do not travel up the mountain at night we arrived late and we were not prepared for that. Lol

The cabin was amazing! Host checked in multiple times and was very available if any issues came up, which we had no issues. The little details matter and this place was very thoughtful when it came to that. We will book this cabin again. And the views, multiple outdoor areas and lake was awesome!

We enjoyed our stay at The Lakeside Escape. The views were wonderful and had plenty of areas to enjoy them. The communication with the owners was top notch and they wanted to make sure that we had the best time. The cabin and property grounds were very clean and well maintained. I would recommend staying and it's in a central location between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. 10/10 would stay again.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, relaxing and peaceful. Cabin is lovely and well kept and clean, (won’t lie we missed not having the dishwasher, but it didn’t affect us enjoying our stay) We enjoyed the fire table on the deck our first evening taking in the beautiful views. We caught the tail end of fall colors, lovely looking out on the lake and mountain's.

Property was beautiful and home was comfortable! Hosts were very responsive. Very relaxing stay plus close enough to town to be able to do family activities. Road in and out very narrow but that is to be expected in an area like this.

What a wonderful getaway. We are a family of five there was plenty of space. There weren't any problems with the place and it felt like home. Hot tub was peaceful as well as the property grounds. My children love the walk down the graded path to the lake. New dock to sit out on the lake and watch the sunrise or watch from one of two spacious decks on the home. My wife and I liked the suit below the main level it's nice to have a half kitchen in place. There was no need to go upstairs to make that first cup of coffee or tea. The drive up to the property is quaint and peaceful. Fully paved our minivan had no problems. Advice be respectful to the area it is wide enough to drive, but everyone works together on a mountain road. You may need to back up or move over to let others pass. All in the owners were wonderful we booked last minute like the day before and everything was ready on arrival. Thank you Dave and Shannon for everything including the s'mores welcome package the kids love them.

My wife and I celebrated this years wedding anniversary for the first time in the mountains of Blue Ridge. First, our Host was very accommodating throughout our stay. The cabin was immaculant and as advertised. We were pleasantly surprised to find a extra bedroom uptairs with a gaming table. The mountain view was amazing and we absolutely loved being on both the top and bottom decks everyday. Thank You for such a great environment and experience.We will definitely be back.

Perfect Escape

This place is absolutely as advertised and more. The perfect place to get away, but still be close enough to everything you need. Hosts provided great information, detailed directions, and were very responsive to all questions. The view is amazing and the cabin is very comfortable.Private path to the lake is very well maintained. Loved every second. Will return and recommend to family and friends.

Just perfect!

This was truly a perfect trip to celebrate my birthday with the family. The cabin was amazing. My husband and I enjoyed the king suite and kitchette set up on the lower level. Every detail was considered from comfortable beds and pillows, plush towels and even a smores set up including roasting sticks marshmallows and chocolate. Hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. The location was perfect too! 15 minutes to Blue Ridge and 15 minutes to Ellijay. Close by to shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay again! Thank you

A fantastic view with so much more!

We were looking for a place with a great view. We found it and so much more. The location is quiet and serene. The house itself is airy and full of light, but also cozy and inviting. All spaces were clean and thoughtfully arranged to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. Dave and Shannon were extremely attentive, thorough, understanding and patient. Truly a delight to deal with. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
