This was our first stay in Cashiers as we typically stay near my daughter at WCU in Cullowhee, but she was putting on a program at Panthertown Valley, so we decided to stay closer to the event and found this gem. The pictures looked too good to be true as I just assumed that this was an old house that someone had slapped some coats of paint on and called it a day. The pictures are a 100% representation of what you get and then some! The house was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the heat kept the house comfortable all over with no drafts or cold spots. Wireless internet was available and sufficient for streaming on our Roku Stick and a video conference call from my laptop.
The TV and satellite TV was excellent and that couch!
I could have slept on the couch it was so comfortable. Water pressure was excellent and plenty of hot water for our party of 3. Supplies and towels were plentiful, and thoughtful additions like k-cups for the Keurig and paper plates, cups, etc were even included. What struck me the most was how quiet and peaceful the stay was! When you are laying in the bed, it is so dramatically quiet that you can hear the ticking of the clock in the next room! I don't think we have ever slept that well. And seeing the wildlife each morning (deer and 5-10 turkey!) was an enjoyable treat. The property is very easy to get to, though Google Maps did confuse us at first as it sometimes showed two locations for that address for some reason (this property is not located right off of Hwy 64 just past the Ingles). We were able to identify the correct one by switching to the street view in Google Maps. We brought my low-slung Mustang as our Jeep was having a mechanical issue and I had zero issues getting to the property or on the driveway. Lots of great shopping, restaurants, and hiking near by as well as an easy trip to a nice, clean, and modern Ingles grocery store. This is our new stay for exploring the area around Cashiers. Thank you for a great experience!
