I will start with the positives. The hotel granger when you drive up is breathtaking! The theory of a romantic getaway seems like it will be a foregone conclusion. We were greeted with Happy Anniversary wishes, which we appreciated from the entrance gate, front desk clerk, welcoming sweets & note in room & at restaurant . We loved the idea of a romantic horse drawn sleigh ride & time by the pool.We walked into a bustling & very loud lobby filled with running/ screaming children, front desk staff who did not speak English well or fully comprehend what we were asking & provide us answers we had about the property. The temperature in the room could not get regulated; the noise from the hallways outside our room during our entire stay kept us awake most of the night & we awoke to children screaming & running the hallways at 6:30am. The temperature in the shower never got hot. To use the pool & hot tub would cost an additional $89 day pass fee ON TOP of the already charged “ resort fee” & “ additional “ parking fee” added to our cost. The stables/ horse drawn carriage rides are separate from the hotel stay & cost. I had called prior to our stay to be told they would have santa sleigh rides on the day we were staying there and did not need to book ahead or pay extra. There was no hot coco, tea or basic coffee on lobby included in our cost. Overall, felt very let down & disappointed as this was our 25th anniversary .
