Staff at this Belfast hotel were charming. Room was spacious and had good, clean, new-looking kitchen which was well fitted out. Only downside was some noise from the air-con - not that this really affected us. Overall a very good experience. Hotel is ideally situated and near to excellent restaurants.

Our go to for accommodation in Belfast. Fab rooms - so well equipped - relaxed warm bar / cafe underneath, and staff who all go the extra mile. Add to that the great location - 5 mins walk to Grand Central Station on one side and City Hall the other. Highly recommend.

I booked a room in this hotel with my colleague. Shorthly after we settled in our room, I noticed that he was smoking in the restroom without my knowledge. He’s from Turkey and was unaware that smoking wasn’t permitted in there or in any hotel rooms, as the smoking rules are not too strict in Turkey. ( Lets say that smoking rules are more flexible which brings smokers to this terrible point and a nonsmoker like me end up paying a fine in Europe for a smoker from Turkey.) As a nonsmoker, I didn’t think he would smoke and didn’t consider warning him in advance that smoking was prohibited in hotel rooms in the United Kingdom. However, as soon as I saw him, I informed him and had him extinguish his cigarette. Shortly after, someone came and took a picture of his cigarette butt in the toilet. Since he was unaware of the law, a warning would have been sufficient. Instead, I found that I was as a card holder fined £200. Given that he was unaware of the law, it was my responsibility to warn him, but since I don’t smoke, I didn’t think of warning him in advance. Now, he’s blaming me for not warning him and he doesn’t want to pay the fine. Because I made the booking, the fine is on my card, and I’m really frustrated. I don’t smoke and have to pay a fine for something I didn’t do. I wanted to talk to the manager but they didn’t let me talk to him and just gave me an email address to reach him. I sent an email and they didn’t even bother to reply. I’m very disappointed.

The staff was really lovely and the restaurant is great. However, I’m not sure how this hotel fits in a 4 star category. It is in dire need of renovations and touchups. The room felt dark and dank and dusty. The price was unbeatable but I thought it was because it was off season. For a budget option, it is fine. I wouldn’t recommend it though and would rather spend more money on a place that feels clean and well maintained.

This hotel was the perfect choice. The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well appointed. The location (5 minutes from the Grand Central Station and right in the shopping district) was ideal. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Staff were lovely and super helpful. Room is stylish with original parquet flooring; little kitchenette is perfect for making your own food if you don't want to go out. Room was spotless and the location is excellent. I genuinely could not fault it. I even loved the stairwell ;) . One small improvement would be the wifi, which wasn't the best and may need a booster but certainly not enough to reduce the rating. I am a Belfast local and have lived in the city for 30 years. I am away on business and had to overnight in a hotel and so glad I chose the Flint; I would defo stay again. I read the reviews before booking and I would say that the more negative ones (of which there are few) are unfair. If you are going to stay in a hotel and grumble about something that could be resolved by calling reception then you are a fool. Why would you not allow the hotel to rectify the problem. I had a booking issue which was dealt with efficiently and professionally. In this case the error was mine and not the hotel. thanks again to all the staff for making me feel so welcome. PS- there is a bar and restaurant outside front door and also places to buy food round the corner so you have options....

Loved it so much I came back. I am Belfast resident and I am currently renovating my house and having to stay in temporary accommodation. The Flint is an excellent place to stay. It’s really central with access to nearby restaurants and shops. The rooms are really beautifully appointed and are warm with great amenities. You get a little apartment with a bed bedroom and little kitchen facility and it’s just great.. the staff are super friendly and really helpful and accommodating. I I will definitely come back and stay again.
