"Highly recommend. Our 3 generation family enjoyed a fabulous late July vacation week at Lost Tides. Large, historic waterfront home with breathtaking views of Penobscot Bay. Plenty of room (and rooms) in this spacious house to accommodate the dining, relaxation and sleeping preferences of family members of all ages. Kitchen was amply stocked. Nice backyard hot tub with stunning ocean views. Host Suzanne provided helpful welcome information and was always friendly and responsive to our inquiries."

"It was a wonderful stay really enjoyed it. I knew that it wasn’t handicap accessible. But the front entryway from the grass onto the steps could be even out a bit, and the post is not very secure. I did not realize in the house that the stairs were ship style (very compact) I slipped down the stairs several times even though there are treads. I only say this to warn people, but I did really enjoy our stay. The community is amazing. Neighbors were super friendly. Kids were constantly playing. Every evening it seemed like there was a game of hide and seek or tag. The front porch is a lovely place to sit and read and enjoy your coffee. The kitchen was perfectly appointed with what you need. We cooked breakfast every morning and even grabbed a couple to go dinners at Costco down in Scarborough so we didn’t have to eat out every night. As a Vermonter, I really had no concept of how cold the ocean was. So while I stuck my toes in the ocean beach down the street from the house Barrett’s Cove at Megunticook Lake was a welcome surprise.We lost power for a night due to pretty torrential wind and rain storm. We had a fun evening playing cards by candlelight. I have to say the beds were probably the most comfortable beds. I’ve slept on in a long time. Overall, great stay. Would return again."

"Amazing stay again this year. We love the house and our kids have an absolute blast with the garden. Kitchen is so well stocked and internet was outstanding as we did have to work some. Thanks for another great vacation and hope to do it again next summer!!"
