Our pods (arched cabins) are newly constructed tiny homes, well situated for both spectacular views as well as romantic privacy from your own private hot tub. Each cabin has an arched cabin style, cozy, yet well-appointed with a bedroom (queen bed), full bathroom, full kitchenette and living area with sofa.

Pods are located close enough to enjoy a campfire with neighbors, but separated enough to enjoy that special romantic evening on your own large deck with spectacular views, your own private campfire, or late at night enjoying the stars above. Each cabin has its very own fire pit. Some cabins are outfitted with an outdoor hottub.

Property is over 60 acres of onsite hiking trails, or find your special spot to sit on a bench and enjoy the view. We are just up the road from the Toe River. The famous Appalachian Trail is just minutes away, as are the Gem mines that made Mitchell County famous. Over fifty varieties of gems and other rare minerals have been found and mined in the region: aquamarine, emerald, feldspar, garnet, kaolin, mica, quartz, and sapphire. Our property is historic and once a famous location for moonshine production, detailed in the book "Red Hill" available on Amazon. Or Google the "Bakersville Riots". Truly a place to enjoy hiking, or just relaxing on the beautiful large decks.

Relaxing getaway after all-day hiking

After a day of hiking, this was a perfect place to unwind and relax - especially in the hot tub looking up at the stars. Communication with Kevin was perfect and he went the extra mile to make us comfortable. Will be back!

New, clean, private and a nice view!

The place was at the top of a hill will a fantastic view of the mountains. The cabin sparkly clean with new/modern furniture and appliances. We stayed for 3 nights and was out hiking for most of the day, but was always looking forward to coming home to the cabin and relaxing at the spa. Kevin was nice and very responsive. He made sure that we had all that we needed for a comfortable stay. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to our friends and family!

New Year’s getaway

We had a fantastic time during our stay. Had a bit of a rough start since the address on the link isn’t correct, which Kevin told me he was trying to have fixed I just forgot but once we got there everything was wonderful! The place is super clean with brand new appliances. Perfect amount of space for the two of us and our two big dogs. We tried to go to Asheville which was close enough but it was too cold and crowded and enjoyed just hanging out taking the dogs for walks, sitting by the fire or soaking in the hot tub. Being from the PNW it was very nice to get away in the mountains and just relax. Got to meet Kevin and his lovely wife who were very nice and super informative about the surrounding area. With Kevin still having so many plans to make the place even better. Will definitely be back again!
