"Breakfast menu variety good. Parking good. Quiet. Room small but clean and good bed. Not a walkable location. Single lane road to get there. Grocery a mile or so away but no restaurants. Have to drive 4 miles on a single lane road to another little town."

"Modern, clean and very well run. Lovely views from the front (once the rain stopped…) Bed was a little tired and the walls were thin enough to hear the TV in the room next door. The guest directly above my room dragged their chair over the solid wood floor several times, which was irritating, but ..."

"The public areas of the hotel and the location were great! The room was adequate. Nothing special. We've enjoyed so many places with character and the rooms at the Gairloch lacked that. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it but it was definately a hotel for bus tour type accommodations"

"Lovely location with a short walk down to a harbour with beautiful views. The property is a little dated. The kitchen/dining/lounge area is all in one small room. The bathroom is downstairs. "This property is very much in need of a overhall, which I think is a work in progress. We had a problem in our room which was handled swiftly and we were moved to a different room. "Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent!
Our room was very comfortable and cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The honesty bar was great for stopping in the room (wine, beer, soft drinks, various snacks) - we came away with some of the lovely shortbread. Not to mention the welcome drinks which was a lovely touch.
The B&B is right out of Applecross and so we took a drive back to the Applecross Inn for dinner with a lovely view out over the bay.
Scottish breakfast was perfect and the locally smoked salmon was fabulous! It set us up for the day with a lovely a walk around Applecross before heading off the beat the incoming Amy."
