The 1st room was horrible—-awful sewer smell! I went back to the front desk and changed rooms. The hotel clerk was a bit rude but did reluctantly change my room. The 2nd room was very good with physical cleanliness and organization but there was a faint sewer odor. I discovered that it was coming from the bathroom drains. When I checked out I told the same clerk about it. She shrugged her shoulders. Never apologized for the inconvenience. I will not stay there again.

Friendly service. Helpful. The room was a bit small, but comfortable. Good location for shopping and dining. The front location of the room had some occasional traffic noise but was not bad. We had a nice stay.

Hi… it’s 3:30 AM. Despite being exhausted, I’ve yet to sleep. You see, I missed the part in the motel description that claimed that the Flintstones are big fans of these motel beds. I got the “granite” mattress. In town for one night for a friend’s funeral and then facing a long day of driving. I need sleep! I have never been more uncomfortable or less able to sleep in a space whose very business is to provide a place for folks to sleep. It actually hurts to lay on this bed. I’ve never done this before, but I went to the front desk to plead my case. I asked for another room. He said he’d have to charge me. I tried to reason with him: it’s already 3:30, I’ll only be using the room for 4 hours. The parking lot was empty - it wasn’t like there was a Flintstones convention in town. They had a room to spare, I won’t even get under the covers they would never know I was there. He stared at me blankly. He wasn’t going to get tricked by pesky logic. I asked if I could sleep on the lobby couch. He wasn’t having it. Long story short, I got a $10 discount to sleep in the room next to my son on a mattress that caused me only 5/10 pain level., I’m so bummed. They had the chance to do something nice for a customer in distress and they failed. We will not be patronizing this establishment again. If you do book here, bring an air mattress/yoga mat/extra blankets to sleep on and save your body. Also - the whole place needs a good, soapy, scrubbing.

“The Trailer Park Dump”

This place is an “ABSOLUTE DUMP”! Do not waste your money on this Motel… The beds are not Queens they are fulls with cheap “HARD” low budget mattresses. They are on a metal base that makes a cave in sound with movement. My back hurts so bad from sleeping on this thing. You have to search for the front desk agent when you need something. Also, they randomly selected a Room type for us➡️ ( handicap). I nor my husband are handicapped so there was no need for it. And to cap it off the hallways and room was filled with the smell of “POT”. Although, I do not judge anyone that partake, I don’t want to sleep in the center of the smell. This was by far the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in!!! More on the “trailer park” level! It’s ran by some very rude people and it looks as though they live there as well.

Ice storm in March!!

Everything was going to be fine, we had a ice storm come through which caused power outage and didn't get a chance to spend the night at hotel. This was a business trip for drug testing on the Air force base, due to the power outage in the Alpena area which were accommodated in base with rooms for the team. Maybe next time during summer months we will get another chance to experience the Days Inn.

The hotel was clean. Our room was clean and well supplied. We stayed because an ice storm knocked out the power. The hotel was close to work for both of us. The pool area was a little different story. The water in the pool was freezing and the hot tub was too hot. The pool area could use a little maintenance. It was good for what we needed it for. A warm place to sleep and a shower

Wouldn't give me a refund for the twonights. Stay or comp me a 2 night Stay having no power, no heat for 2 days, not enough blankets. I was miserable for both 2 days.

Just a little staycation so the grandkids could get together and swim. Pool area is quite chilly however so if you’re not going in pool, bring a sweater!
