"What a real gem this is! From the moment we stepped inside into the tastefully decorated, beautifully perfumed interior we were made to feel welcome. Throughout our 3-night stay, Giselle & Philippe were always on hand to advise and ensure the smooth running of the riad, staffed by the most delightful team. A delicious daily breakfast with homemade local delicacies was served on the terrace. The bedroom provided every comfort, lovely linen, great shower, spotlessly clean with rose petals scattered daily and homemade biscuits provided. We didn't want to leave and have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending this riad for an unforgettable stay."

"Really super hotel. Staff amazing esp Ahmed at Beach Bar, Imad at breakfast and our chambermaid Nazah. There is some refurbishment underway but no impact to our stay and it’s good to see the investment. The hotel is ideally located with its own beach area and bar which we used a lot. "

"It was perfect! The riad was in a perfect location, it was in the centre of the medina with everything so close by. The room was clean and had all the amenities needed. The breakfast was great and the staff were responsive - Rita was brill! The riad itself was gorgeous, with a lovely rooftop and a great lounge area. We got some great restaurant recommendations from staff too. I definitely will be coming back to this beautiful riad and Essaouira ❤️ "

"I am nearly 70 years old, I find it hard to say it out loud, I have been travelling for 50 years, I have visited maybe 80 different countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels. This is , quite simply, one of the best of them all. Can I try to explain why ? On arrival it is so unassuming; a small entrance from a busy street in the middle of the ancient Medina. A single sign, it would be easy to miss, but inside, it is like Doctor Who’s Tardis: only about 10 bedrooms arranged over four levels; each built around a central courtyard with tables, sunbeds and so on It is immaculately clean and artistically decorated The top floor is quiet, peaceful with a great view over the city. A perfect place to spend two hours with a book on sunny afternoon The breakfast is one of the beds, not just as the food is so imaginative, but because of the friendly service, and the stunning location We LOVED our bedroom: a large comfortable bed, high quality cotton (or was kt line ?) sheets and pillows, spotlessly clean, an architecturally stunning bathroom, tea, coffee, air con. We had it all, a little oasis among the hustle and bustle of the Medina Top of the pops though come the staff at the hotel and that means everyone: a fine team,. Everybody friendly, everybody knowing their jobs. Nothing was too much to ask. They really made this feel like home Finally, here is to tip. The hotel does not have a permanent restaurant but Expedia's limit on characters won't let me tell you anymore "
