The Lodge at Chalk Hill
"Only there for an overnight but looks like a nice base to explore the area. Quick drive to Ohiopyle and there are good restaurants nearby. And there is a nice market next door, though it looked kinda pricey. Our room was not huge but was comfortable. The rooms use real keys and there are two locks on the door, a handle lock and a deadbolt. I had some issues with the handle lock getting the door open the first time and then locking it. I think that door may have needed maintenance. When we left I just locked the door with the deadbolt. The lower rooms are closer to the lake and in ours the sheets and blankets on the bed initiallly felt damp. I'm not sure if that was just a one off or an issue. It was bothersome until I realized that one of the blankets was a thicker fuzzy cotton and when I got under that on I didn't feel the damp sensation anymore and slept well. But I'm noting it for anyone who would be overly sensitive to that. Perhaps ask for one of the upper rooms."
