There was a lot of noise due to a surrounding property being renovated. It wasnt great to look st either. Other then that my car got hit in the parking lot. I didnt see the damage until i was leaving my stay. No note was left. Not your fault i know but it did make my trip not as good overall. Thank you for your time. Debby

I believe that I took home bed bugs from this hotel and the response from management has been very inadequate and unprofessional.

I stayed at this hotel early May 2011 for two nights and had bug bites on my arms the second day. When I returned home I continued to break out with large welts on my body. After several unsuccessful doctor visits with no diagnosis I was finally referred to a dermatologist who immediately suspected bed bug bites and confirmed this with a biopsy. I had suspected this all along but didn't want to believe my home was infested with bed bugs. Since my "skin condition" started at this hotel I can only deduct that I initially contracted the bed bug bites there and then took them home with me. Since this was confirmed I have had a professional pesticide company inspect my home and they were able to find the bed bugs and treat our home but this is not an easy process and it takes time to get rid of all the pests. So far we have spent thousands of dollars treating both of our homes in eastern and western Washington, staying in hotels, buying medications and paying for doctor visits. In addition I have at times not been able to work due to the itching and burning from the welts and lack of sleep. This has been a nightmare! Several weeks ago I contacted the Holiday Inn and tried to discuss this with their staff but they said that only their GM (General Manager) could discuss this with me so I left a message which was not returned. Two weeks later I left another message on the GM's voicemail and told her I wanted to report a bed bug problem. When I didn't get a call back I then contacted the Executive Director of the organization which booked our rooms for our conference in May. The Director contacted the Visitor and Convention Bureau in Yakima and they said I would get a call back from the GM that day. About 4 hours later she called and before she listened to my story she was very defensive and told me there was no way they had bed bugs. When I was finally able to tell her my story she agreed to talk to her staff to see if there was any evidence of bed bugs. She later left me a message and said her staff had not detected any bed bugs and since there were no reports of bed bugs she didn't believe I contracted them there. I think this was very poor customer service on the part of the GM and am concerned about future guests of this hotel. The GM never had a pesticide professional inspect my room or the hotel. These bugs are very difficult to detect so I would not rely on housekeeping staff to be able to detect them. Obviously the hotel has no policy in place to deal with bed bugs reports other than denying their existenpoor would never recommend this hotel because of the poor response I received when reporting this problem!

Nice and safe place

This is a great place to stay. The beds are very comfortable and they even have pillows of differing firmness (noted with nice ribbons). Nice TV if you like that. I also really like the gated parking lot. Staff was very helpful. Liked having a bar and restaurant in the lobby. A llittle expensive but not totally out of line.
