Well situated within walking distance of National Mall area and the Wharf. I have traveled the world in my time, and I would rate the staff of this hotel in my top 5. All staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Even printed out directions on how to get to Arlington cemetery. Extremely organized hotel. Job well done. Covid was a factor in the full spectrum of the stay.

Because of Covid we couldn’t enjoy some of the amenities though no fault of the hotel. The location was good. The staff was really friendly. Strange entering the hotel because the hotel wasn’t the bottom floor. The lobby was on the third floor so getting to the room was a little different. You had to take two different elevators to get to your room.

We booked a non-refundable room, but the parking garage was full. We parked in another paid garage ($19.99 weekend rate) 1 block away.

Property itself was a little outdated but OK. When you walk in to check in, you’re greeted by a sign that says, “text Charlie for assistance” and you will literally chat with someone through text until they send someone over to help you. Then once they get there, you wish you would’ve just chatted through text because the lady has the nastiest attitude. There was a sign that said $42 for overnight parking until 6pm the following day. However once inside, the nasty front desk lady tells me my car would have to leave the lot at check out 11am. Grab and go breakfast was pretty decent considering all the new changes and regulations with COVID. Most likely will NOT be returning to this location.

The place is infested with bed bugs. Our entire family got eaten alive by bed bugs. Due to the pandemic, they don't clean your rooms, give you extra towels, or will vacuum your room while you are out for the day. The breakfast consists of cereal and bagels. All the amenities are closed because they don't have the staff to clean and disinfect.

I had a reservation for a standard room with two queen beds. Upon arrival and checking in at 8 PM I was informed that there were no more rooms with two queen beds and the only room type available was a room with one king bed and a sleeper sofa. When I politely stated that my reservation was for two queen beds, I was told that using a third-party travel site does not guarantee the room type. Only booking through Hyatt guarantees room type availability. We were tired and made do, but this arrangement is not very comfortable for four adult people. Also, the hotel is situated by a major highway and the road noise is very noticeable, at least it was in the room we were in. Definitely disappointed in our stay.

Quiet area close to Capital Mall. Not a lot of restaurants close but hotel restaurant was fantastic! Staff was great!
