The host was welcoming and helpful. The house and location/view is amazing! However, we are only able to give it 4 stars because there were several issues that we had. The refrigerator ice maker and filtered water were not working at all. Because of this, our group had to do multiple 'ice runs' to the local Safeway. This alone was not a big deal. We prepaid for 3 days of heating the pool and hot tub. However, on the morning of our last full day, the heater for the pool and hot tub completely stopped working. We contacted the host about this issue (at about noon, and he had a pool tech come and look at it, which proceeded to take several hours to arrive, investigate, and come back, with no success at fixing the issue. They determined It could not be repaired until the next day (when we were leaving). The host thanked us for our patience and provided the healing refund for that day, which was the minimum that could be expected. Given the time and energy from handling the multiple issues, one might expect that he may offer a refund for another day of the 3 days paid (100/day) to heat the pool and hot tub (or at least a partial refund). Another thing that you should know is that the person who books the stay will have to be in contact with the host regularly to even turn on the heater. So even before the above issues, i had to message the host prior to being able to use the prepaid, heated, pool and hot tub. It was a bit of a pain to be honest.
