The location was lovely and easy to find. The home provided great gathering space. We had a group of 9 adults and the dining room with seating for 10 was awesome. There was a lovely fireplace that we thought we would be able to use but there was no grate in the fireplace. The master bedroom on main floor was spacious but the king size bed was unexplainable. If you even sat on the bed it made creaking crackling noise that was even worse if you made movement as simple as rolling over. I can’t even explain it. Even if you were very still it was below average on many levels. The master shower had a significant drainage problem. The shower pan would fill up with water so you were standing in several inches of water and in fear that it was going to overflow. It would eventually drain. The shower hardware was pretty weird and difficult to explain…but it didn’t make you want to use the shower. Extra towels would have been nice. The kitchen appliances were better than average. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of nice plates and matching silverware. The glassware was odd but there was enough but very little of it matched. I don’t know why it would be difficult to provide a set of matching glassware for a home that has 5 bedrooms and six bathrooms that sleeps 14. The home had some very nice attributes and equally some disappointments. We would not rent this home again in its current condition.
