We very much enjoyed our overnight at the Mizpah as part of a larger road trip over Thanksgiving week. We booked the "wagon room" and it was definitely one of the coolest and most unique hotel rooms we've ever had. Who wouldn't want to sleep in a king-sized wagon in a historic hotel in an Old West mining town? (Probably plenty of people actually, but those people are no fun.) The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the small downtown area's restaurants and shops, and directly behind it is the entrance to the Tonopah Historic Mining Park. We signed up for the 8pm ghost tour on the night we stayed, and enjoyed it despite not experiencing anything of a paranormal nature. In addition to exploring the spookier aspects of the hotel, there was a lot of interesting historical information included. The stay was a positive one and I'd book again if ever in the area, though not sure if that'll realistically happen because it's pretty remote.

This wasn't my first time at The Mizpah, but it was the first time with a king bed. The room was great as always. We had been told that we could request the ghost tour upon check-in when I made the reservation, but that didn't seem to be the case when we arrived. That was one of the main reasons we visited Tonopah and The Mizpah.
