A snug wood retreat yum uncooked breakfast with home baking and a bubbly treat.
"Arrived late afternoon, walked into the warm cosy glow of the beautiful wooden walls, stylish eclectic decor and smell of fresh bread coming from the basket of breakfast goodies. "This weekend away was a gift for my daughter and her partner. She loved it. She enjoyed meeting the lovely dog, and was impressed with the tranquility of the place, listening to the birds and relaxing outside with a cuppa. It was a perfect chilled weekend in a gorgeous building."

Bassingers Motor Lodge
"Our check-in was very brief as the receptionist felt it more important to answer the phone than assist guests checking in. Room (7) was comfortable and reasonably spacious. However noise was a big issue...from the main road one side to trains rumbling past the other a very disturbed night."

"Fantastic for a budget stay place at this price point. Whilst exterior is tired & a bit shabby - the unit itself was great. Well appointed; super clean & a shower that was hot & powerful. Being a block back from main road means it’s quieter than other places. As a stopover motel - I’d highly recommend ..."

"Arrived late afternoon, walked into the warm cosy glow of the beautiful wooden walls, stylish eclectic decor and smell of fresh bread coming from the basket of breakfast goodies. Super comfy, snuggly beds that were perfect for watching the rain on the skylights and listening to birdsong one morning. Managed to tear ourselves away to visit the Bus Stop cafe, Te Horo beach, Waikanae markets and Toi MAHARA art gallery, everything very handy to location. Wished we could have stayed longer than a couple of days but there will definitely be a next time as me and my daughter both enjoyed it so much."
