This house was perfect for our group of six. There was plenty of space and a wonderful view. Everything was clean.However, we had some safety concerns. Several smoke detectors had been removed, and others had dead batteries. We notified the owner immediately, but no effort was made to replace them. Additionally, the railing leading to the second floor felt wobbly and should be checked. Because these issues pertain to safety, I decided to remove one star from my rating.We would still stay here again as it’s a great location, even though the surrounding neighborhood is a bit questionable. Thank you for allowing us to use your house!

Wedding/long weekend

Beautiful, big and clean home right on the water with magnificent views, close to everything. Was able to host rehearsal dinner for our son’s wedding. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Wonderful weekend had by all! Thank you Victor!

Great experience

I checked out the reviews before booking the listing. Some were not favorable but from the moment we arrived I was totally and completely satisfied. The owner reached out before we arrived and we had continued communication with him. The view was breathtaking. The house had more than enough sleeping space. The house had any and all amenities that we needed. I would definitely and will book this house again.

Family Thanksgiving Gathering

The property is spacious with a spectacular view and a large yard for outside activities. It provided the space we needed for our large party of 16. We enjoyed our stay. While the home is older, it does offer some open concept, a wide open view to the waterfront both downstairs and upstairs. The view is the show stopper for this property. Spacious bedrooms, but smaller bathrooms. No dressers/chest of drawers in bedrooms. Due to their size and maybe age, the sliding doors are difficult to open for children and seniors. The vast openness of downstairs echos noise from same to upstairs. Just mention in case you have members of your party with differing bedtime schedules like we did. The two downstairs bedrooms were great for us seniors. Beautiful pool but would be better if heated for use in colder months. We had several issues at the house, most of which were the result of incomplete renovation of the house due to hurricane damage. Our host was very prompt to respond (even though it was a holiday weekend) in an attempt to resolve issues. Some could not be resolved during our stay, but did not affect our comfort or ability to have a good time; and we were compensated for the inconvenience. I’m glad our stay was not canceled due to incomplete renovation, and the host was appreciative of feedback given to ensure guest expectations are met.

Disappointing Stay, Lack of Communication, and Unresolved Issues

Our stay at this property was full of issues, and the lack of communication from the owner made everything worse. First, we were told just a day before check-in that the kitchen was damaged due to a hurricane (after previously being told only the pool screen was affected). This last-minute change delayed our arrival from Thursday to late Thursday night. The only concession made was waiving a $75 pet fee. Once we arrived, we discovered multiple problems: No water in the upstairs bathroom Dryer didn’t work One bathroom downstairs only had cold water in 50-degree weather Only two usable showers for 15 people Dishwasher and fridge didn’t work TV issues (one missing a remote) Trash bins full of construction debris Broken stair railing that caused my family to get scratched I messaged the owner about these issues, but received no response. After check-out, I sent a courtesy message detailing the problems, but still got no reply. The property was in poor condition, and the owner failed to address any of the issues or communicate with us during our stay. I’m still waiting to hear how we will be compensated for the horrible experience. I would not recommend this property to others. I have pictures documenting these issues for proof.

65th Birthday Party

The home was perfect for us. With 5 kids and 9 grandkids with us the bedrooms were amazing. Each family had a private space in the house. 2 double beds in each room was fantastic. Enjoyed the sparkling pool, fishing from dock and marina was minutes away. Our boats were medium size bay boats and it seemed to be low tide when we were putting in so did not use boat ramp. It is a good boat ramp just a bit steep. Only 20 minutes to the aquarium. Close to grocery store and a Walmart. We enjoyed our stay very much

Surprisingly disappointed.

I wanted so bad to give this a higher rating because we had a blast. But I figured I’d help spare future guests the very stressful disappointment that we all experienced. Keep in mind, we booked this place for our wedding in Nov. 2023 for a July 2024 wedding which the host knew about because we even paid an extra fee to have the wedding there which of course I had no problem with. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed the shin to knee high grass that surrounded the property and covered the brick platform in the backyard, which is where we were hosting the wedding. The grass was easily 4 weeks long. Next, the pool was a swamp green. Nothing more needs to be said on that one. Into the house, we noticed many cracked floor tiles, broken decor, dirty walls and floorboards and even worse, heavily stained sheets and pillow cases in every single room that either resembled pee, wine, candy bars or boogers. I looked back a year in reviews on the place and many people had the same complaints. The fridge and freezer smelled strongly of fish. All of the showers smelled like fresh vomit, which I had to mop MYSELF because the cleaning lady couldn’t make it in until the next day and everyone needed to shower that night after a full day of travel. There is no water dispenser in the kitchen so stock up on water bottles. The fans and fake plants had the thickest layer of dust I’ve ever seen. If I have one good thing to say, it’s that victor called the pool guy mowers and cleaner out the next day

OMEGA PSI PHI CONCLAVE 6/2024

First, let me say we had a magnificent stay at this property. The previous guest reviews were spot-on in their descriptions of the property amenities. The house is not just beautiful but also cozy. The Kitchen and spice rack was fully equipped, providing a comfortable and convenient stay for us. The house's spaciousness was a standout feature for our group of 14 adults. It provided ample room for all our activities, from private conversations to group games. The pool room, screened-in patio, and sheltered pier were our favorite spots, and we spent most of our time there! Yes, we did go fishing; we caught a bucket full of catfish and a single 2-pound Jack. But it was fun! While these issues did not significantly affect our overall experience, they are worth noting for future guests... The light fixtures in the two bedrooms did not work, but a small table lamp was present for one of them. The pool had some green algae on the floor and its walls, but I knew it was due to the torrential rain we had Saturday, which, to be honest, we didn't care about, considering we mostly sat outside, fired up the grill, and smoked cigars on the deck after a long day of meetings for the rest of the night while playing music at a low volume. Lastly, the yard needed to be cut desperately, and it was not due to the rain. Mr Victor was a fantastic host! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!! I highly recommend this property and plan to return to it.

Prettier than pictures but needs deeper cleaning

The house is bigger and prettier than in pictures. Super spacious. But the house needs better upkeep and better cleaning. I’m allergic to dust and the house was very dusty, especially the vents and the fake plants. The bathrooms need a deep scrub. We wore flip flops in the tubs because they weren’t clean enough. Floors of tubs felt slimy. Owners would benefit from hiring professional maintenance and cleaning people. The AC has to be kept at 72 or higher. One night it only cooled to 78 and when I told the owner, he said that it was our fault for putting it too low and freezing his system. He sent someone out who said the Freon was low and the condenser wasn’t on or something like that, but definitely not our fault. There was broken glass in the pool area and trash in front and on the sides of the house. There were dead bugs on the floor upstairs. The sliding doors don’t close tightly so bugs get in. Owner said my dogs peed in every room and charged me extra for it, but we take them every year and they’ve never done that, and we checked the house before leaving, and the dogs weren’t even allowed in 5 of the bedrooms so it’s impossible they peed in every room. They were crated when we weren’t watching them. The house is an hour from the beach and half from Tampa. I should have done more research on the location so that’s on me but I’m hoping to save others some disappointment.

Wonderful family reunion

We had a wonderful stay for our weekend family reunion. The house was extremely accommodating for a large group of people, and the setting couldn’t have been more beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the pool and viewing the river. My one bit of advice is to bring your own pool towels as they are not provided.

Good time for whole family

This house was good for a family get together. Plenty of beds and space for all to feel comfortable. The sunsets from the dock and several dolphins feeding right along the shoreline were great experiences. The house is a bit dated, just needs paint and minor updates. The biggest issue we had is the listing indicated a hot tub but there was not one. Unfortunately, having the hot tub was one of the reasons we picked this house. Victor and Julie were very responsive and easy to communicate with, allowed us an early check-in which was much appreciated. Overall good experience and recommend this property for large family gatherings.

Renter Beware

I first want to start off by saying I never leave reviews. The only reason I am taking the time to write this, is in hopes that it will save other people time and money. I recently booked this house with a group of friends to enjoy Tampa for an extended weekend. Upon arrival, the house looked relatively clean, but upon further use of the rental, there were obvious signs it wasn’t cleaned properly. The kitchen hood vent was covered in dust and grime. The bathrooms still had residue of urine around the bottoms of the toilets and toilet seats, as well as stained walls. The pool wasn’t cleaned beforehand. And there were no signs of cleaning under the beds. In addition to the cleanliness, or lack there of, the owner is now trying to charge us with damages to multiple items we didn’t even use. When asked to see the quote for the damages and pictures of the repairs, the owner went on to say that the items actually hadn’t been repaired yet and that he needs to get a new repairman for a quote (This was after asking for money through Zelle and stating material and labor was $220). I could continue, but I feel like I have gotten my point across. This owner will try to scam and blame you. Stay away

This is the second time we stayed here. perfect for the whole family. It has plenty of beds and amenities. we need a place with plenty of parking and entertaining space. This house is it. Its close to everything and the boat ramp is a huge plus. we will continue to stay here when we are in tampa.

Beautiful with much potential

House is beautiful, property was perfect. The property owner should spend some money and time painting and doing some repairs. Pool cleaner came while we were there and when he left the debris was still in the pool-it was okay, pool wasn’t heated so no one got in the pool. Sliding doors, some work-some are bolted shut. Sliding screen doors in the bedroom were falling out. Such a beautiful home, just needs a little time and money put into it. Family was thrilled to spend the week here, I enjoyed my stay as well. Victor answered all questions in a timely manner.

Best Birthday Party

I hosted a Birthday Party at this home for my father. This home is perfect for those families looking to stay together and host an event. We had 40 attendees and the whole family was able to stay together in the home. The property is in a beautiful water front location with a wonderful breeze and plenty of shade. The pool and house were clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was welcoming and quick to answer any questions that we had.

We celebrated a friends Bachelor party here. The home was beautiful, plenty of space for the group. Location was close to Tampa, privacy was a plus, located on a dead end road riverfront.. Victor had great communication throughout the entire process. The pool, dock and boat ramp, were valued additions for this rental. Absolutely would stay again. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay the experience was phenomenal. Most of all it was spacious. I would recommend anyone that wants to have a large family gathering our an event should go ahead and book this property.
