"On booking in owner offered to carry our bags to our room. Food w as excellent…and well priced compared to other local establishments. Breakfast was a small menu but with the addition ‘if you want something else, ask, and we’ll see if we can do it’…and they did. We were there on night of Englands win in quarterfinal of World Cup. When we came in from the event we had been at, we were asked if we would be watching match. When we said no, the owner apologised that our room was above the terrace where the match was being screened. Even so, and with window open, the noise was less than in many sporting pubs. The fridge with milk, water and juice was welcome. All staff were excellent."
