We really enjoyed our family trip to Lake Tahoe, and this VRBO property served as a convenient and comfortable home base. The location made it easy to explore both the north and south shores of the lake, and nothing ever felt too far away. The house was well-stocked—especially the kitchen—and the variety of games available kept the kids happily entertained in the early mornings. That said, the main living area felt a bit dated and dim. While the property manager was responsive and came to replace some light bulbs, not all were functional afterward, so the space still lacked sufficient lighting. The wall-to-wall carpeting gave the home a slightly dusty feel, and the visible stains were hard to ignore, even though the place was otherwise mostly clean. We also encountered a few practical challenges: the hot water supply wasn’t quite enough for more than two or three people to shower in close succession, so we had to coordinate a bit. And while there’s no A/C, the house cooled down nicely at night with the windows open. That said, because the property is on a main street, it could be an issue for light sleepers.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and made lasting family memories. With just a few thoughtful updates, this home could be even better—and we'd love to come back.
