3 star hotel pretending to be a 5 star

The staff was fantastic with a couple of exceptions. Great location & great view! OK continental breakfast in lobby. However, when we checked in the bathroom sink stopper and the desk phone were not working. Sink repaired quickly. Phone never worked. Housekeeping only left 1 washcloth after first night (2 people) and then told us they couldn't find another one! Had to finally leave a note for the housekeeper to leave a second cloth. Patio furniture was chipping and not particularly well maintained. Had to ask for ice as guests were not allowed access to ice machine (per front desk). No coffee maker in room and only fridge was the very full mini bar so we couldn't chill any beverages we brought. Way too "foo-foo" an operation. Should at least give guests a choice to do own thing or ask to be waited on. Just not a 5 star operation by any stretch.
