Definitely a budget hotel. Rather disappointed the word “Downtown” is in the name, was about 20 minutes on the lightrail downtown. Typical budget hotel, some odd stains and smells but was fine for a weekend where we were only at the hotel to sleep.

Terrible experience

Pros: location
Cons: everything
Staff was rude, rooms not ready on time, could not get kitchen supplies or eve a pillow. Renovations started in midedle of stay without any notice - 8am noise started - really bad experience.

Extended Stay America

When I arrived I was told my King size non smoking room was unavailable and was given a Queen size smoking room instead. The room was poor quality and the bathroom door had a hole in it that had not been repaired.

Overprice and Underperform.

To start the hotel didn't get my reservation right and gave me a one bed when a two bed was reserved. Once in the trash was overflowing and the smell was overwhelming. Bad service and bad response to request. My room was cleaned and the ac didn't work. Do not book this hotel.

Paint Fumes

Pros: Refunded my 1st night stay.
Cons: Don't offer a room with overpowering paint fumes

When I checked in, the receptionist warned me that I might smell some paint fumes as the floor I was staying on was being renovated. When I entered the room, there was a hint of paint, but tolerable. When I stepped into the bathroom, I was overwhelmed. I felt like I was going to pas out. I called reception to move rooms, but all rooms were taken. When showering the next morning, I saw some black mold on the ceiling of the shower. That would explain the need for industrial strength paint. The next morning, I asked the manager to move my room and she happily accommodated my request. The new room was perfectly fine. No more problems. And the manager refunded my first night stay. My first room was uninhabitable and should never have been offered to a guest.

Go elsewhere

Pros: They had security in the parking lot.
Cons: Too many to list
So many things wrong at this place. To start, this place screams cheap. From terrible mattresses to sandpaper towels to poor A/C, everything is done on the cheap. And for an hotel with kitchenettes, no plates/utensils are provided, you have to ask for them. And yes, most places you stay at have poor cable TV, but this place is a beaut. They have a nice card which lists the channels they offer....which is horribly out of date. They don't even carry the local CBS outlet. Also, the cheapo A/C leaks, so the carpet around the unit is soak. Mold is bound to happen if it hasn't already. And clearly the don't clean well. as the walls in the bathroom feel slimy. With so many options nearby, I can't think of any reason to stay here again.
