"Everything was so amazing… I honestly don’t even know what to say. My staycation away from the noisy madness of Lagos was so needed, and choosing Sofitel Cotonou Marina was the best decision. This was a much-needed, restful, peaceful, and absolutely fantastic reset. 10/10 — I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! A huge shout-out to Ms. Veronique and Madiath at the front desk — my checkout was so smooth. All the staff were truly wonderful, warm, and professional. I’m so impressed. Sofitel has really upheld the brand beautifully here. ✨💯🙌 I’m definitely coming back."

"I booked for a senior suite. I was placed in a junior suite because even though I had already paid they double booked it and gave it to someone else. I was upset, but they said I’ll be refunded for the difference. I reached out several time to the property, to Expedia and they weren’t able to help. Even tho I was given a receipt with the amount to be refunded. Now I am filling a claim with my bank. Additionally, the food was terrible, they only have one iron on the entire property which I needed and they came back to take it whenever someone else needed it. The receptionist was rude. bathroom was not equipped with shampoo, conditioner or body wash. The bidet in the bathroom was broken so was the toilet and I would not used it my entire time on the property. "

"Ouidah is my favorite place in the whole world and this hotel offers a peaceful getaway that I would choose over and over again. I recommend the sea view rooms, though the lakeview are nice as well. I just personally like being beachfront. The staff go above and beyond here. Food and drinks are delicious and decently priced for a resort. There are not a ton of activities, but the staff will organize games of water polo in the pool and you can canoe or paddle board on the lake. It's also quite close to Ouidah town where you can enjoy restaurants and cultural and historic sites."
