The house was not in the best neighborhood and there were bullet holes in the walls and headboard. When we asked we were told someone vandalized the property. There was still broken glass on steps in back from where the glass door was shot. Blankets stained….did not look like blood. Smell near back door. Saw roach and decided it was time to leave. The owner did state they were working on repairing bullet damage but we should have been told prior to stay.

Check in was great! Only bad thing about the whole stay was trying to figure out what light switch went to which room lol. A lot of light switches. Kitchen is fantastic! Beds are soft and spacious! Pool and hot tub was great! Showers are fantastic and lots of room. (Coming from a bigger guy) Quiet street! Would definitely recommend if you need to be in the Richmond area! 10-15 minutes from Richmond raceway.

I'm very disappointed that this host offers 119 to cover for any damages that might happen while renting but this house already had numerous damages. Our rating is based on cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property.The front of the door already had damage. When you walk in you see 3 doors of the kitchen cabinets missing. The ice machine had mold in it. The photos posted is definitely when this host started. Couch, fridge, coffee and dining table are different from the photos. The house has alot of dust, holes on the curtains, flies on the window sill. The security cameras were disarmed, tried to access with the instructions provided could not see anything. The host did not respond within 2hrs grace period, I had a question about the indoor grill.The first room with the king size bed had draws that looks like someone vomited inside them. The tiles in the bathroom is damaged and NO cold water. Got a splinter trying to open the sliding door to the bathroom, no handle to push and pull. No doors to the closet inside the room. The ironing board was bent, was not able to use it.The upstairs room had the dead fly on the window sill with broken shades. The smoke alarm detector was broken hanging off the ceiling. Then you have the bathroom that the toilet seat feels like its going to come off when you sit. Then the last room which is downstairs by the pool well that room smelled like a cat pissed either on the couch or the ripped curtains. The ottoman has a red sta

Bachelorette weekend

We (4 people in our 30s) stayed at tuxedo blv. for one night for a bachelorette. An honest misunderstanding between the hosts meant the house hadn't been cleaned upon check-in, but as soon as we called them, this was immediately mended. Several people came over very quickly to clean and clear everything and we were allowed a later check-out. The house was lived in but nice and big, and the beds were comfy, the hot tub was roomy and the pool nice and cool. We had everything we needed and the kitchen was well stocked (though a little short on mugs and forks). Hosts were very friendly and quick to respond. They did a good job of cleaning and making sure we had everything we needed. You get a lot for the price and well suited for bachelorette/events :)

December 2024 trip

Really nice property with lots of space. Set up was a little odd. The only entrance to the backyard was through a bedroom, and you could see into the master bedroom through the fireplace. The master bath was amazing.

Great Host!!!

The host was fantastic. House is spacious. Kitchen is huge & we loved the fiddle. Pool needed some work & host was quick to get it fixed. Very quiet neighborhood. Back yard is very private & secluded. The cleaning lady could do a better job but that is not the hosts fault. If you want to use the gas grill be sure to mention that to the host.

It was just ok

The house served the purpose I needed. It was very comfortable for sleeping and is spacious for entertaining. However… The pool needed to be cleaned and water added before I invited people over. The yard needs a lot of work. The drain in the downstairs shower was clogged. The keys were not all available. Old food in the refrigerator and cabinets. I don’t think I’d stay again.

Fit for a milestone framily Bday celebration!

The space was wonderful for the way I wanted to celebrate my birthday with family and friends! We played group games with up to 12 people in the living room and a playlist from YouTube in the background. The kitchen is impressive. My friends who came who are parents didn’t bring their children this time but appreciated knowing the space can accommodate them. There is ample parking on the pavement next to the house and on the street in front. My fave feature was the shower in the master bedroom! I may come back in the spring to use the hot tub and pool. Some of my locally based family members were impressed with the property.

Holiday Stay

Overall the house was great, plenty of space for 7 of us. Had all the extras we needed for washing clothes, etc. The gate out front was nice to secure our vehicles at night. Close to highways, shopping and downtown. Only drawback for us was the second bedroom downstairs didn't have a door.

COCKROACHES

The cockroaches were just the start of our issues. The owner obviously knew that she had issues with them, because there were multiple traps, and white powder all over the floors and in the drawers throughout the kitchen. There was even a business card for an exterminator on the kitchen counter… Multiple things were broken: the railing around the pool, the door in the upstairs bathroom, the shower door upstairs, the back door!!! There were no dish towels. There was one roll of paper towel and 3 rolls of toilet paper for 4 guests for 5 days. When looking for dish towels a cockroach ran out of the drawer. The dishwasher smelled like dirty socks. The kitchen was a mess - dirty dishes, dirty utensils, grease all over the cooking area, someone else’s food left out by the grill. There were dirty smudges on the walls in the bedrooms. The drains didn’t drain in the shower. Invasion of privacy — There were cameras over the hot tub!! The neighborhood was not great, but I did feel mostly safe during our stay. The only positive things I can say is that it was close to the expressway and the backyard was beautiful.

Cleanliness and Property Maintenance Must Be King

Our low rating is based primarily on the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property. The space was good, the bath (soaps, shampoos, towels, etc.) and kitchen amenities (dishes, pans, paper towels, dish-soap, etc.) were plentiful, as was the outdoor seating. The secure off-street parking was comforting and the property location was convenient. However, the cleanliness and maintenance of some kitchen items, the dining room, the outdoor area and the swimming pool left us unable to feel comfortable in the space. Indoors: (some but not all examples) *We washed *everything*. Dirty wine glass. A cracked stemless wine glass. A *filthy* dining table cloth. *The lower front vent on the stove fell off when I was standing in front of it looking around to figure out how to turn on the recessed kitchen ceiling lights. It had been repaired with scotch tape instead of a heat resistant tape. Outdoors: *One of the reasons we rented the house was for our grandchildren to use the pool. They usually spend hours swimming but after a short period of time, our 9-year old got out because the water was murky and she saw mold/algae at the bottom on the left side of the pool. She was wearing goggles. Later, my son-in-law saw a hair clump and trash. That drove him and my grandson out. *Stack of dead bugs left by the bug zapper in the seating area. *Two old rusted, uncleaned chairs by the pool. *Metal pool trim broken/disconnected could lead to injuries. This is a beautiful property to stay!! Us girls had so much fun in the pool,hottub & just hanging on the deck! Just the break we needed from mom life!! Great location near stores & lots of great food places! Highly recommend it. Maria(the host) was very sweet & accommodating. Great place!
