The admitting staff was very friendly even though it was really busy. First! No pool! The help stated they keep taking off the site, but travelocity puts it back on. We had a problem with the room, bathroom light kept blinking on and off. I let the front desk know, they said maintenance would come and fix it. ( No one showed up). Breakfast was a joke, no forks,again I went to the front desk only to have the gal working say, "yeah we are out of forks". To which I replied "are we to eat with our fingers?? She stated: "I don't know". At this point I decided to check out. Not spending another night in that place. What a joke! No Thanks!!!!

It was clean, but the door to each room was left ajar until guests arrived. That was very unsettling to walk into an unsecured room. They also didn’t leave bath towels at all, which I didn’t notice until it was time to shower. I opted to use the two hand towels and finish drying with the hair dryer. But the hair dryer did not work. The tub also did not drain, which was disgusting.

It’s clean and nice, but their plan after they clean the room is to leave the door ajar. I found that very unsettling to find my room open when any number of people are walking down the hall and could be coming in or even hiding in my room. I was very uncomfortable with that arrival.

The place added extra on to what we had to pay. Told us it would be returned when leaving. It was unclean, old, broken down. Stayed for 4 nights and never got the room cleaned. Had to ask front desk for towels. Their pool was not working. They tried to be sneaky and couldn’t find our money to return, and double charged for the room. After the run around they did return the cleaning refund before we left. I still have not gotten refund on double charging for the room.

Super 8 are usually pretty good. This site was bad from the start. Check in had to wait until 3pm not one minute before. The once given a room, the card key lock system didnt work. After 30 minutes, they gave us a different room. However weren't the only ones with this same issue. Some guest left. Pool was advertised but clearly hasnt had water in it for a while. While waiting for door keys to work asked manager where mt Rushmore tour bus pick is. Her reply, i am not aware of a pock up here. There was and it went off well. Worst part is the continental breakfast, both days filthy, limited to coffee or milk but each day had to ask for milk to be added to the container. Garbage cans overflowed. Second worst is staff work attire was terrible not even a name tag. Windows are in bad condition. Try to avoid

I did not get to stay at this place after paying in advance. I was toldtravelocity overbooked and sent to another hotel. I also had an emergency and arrived a day late could not extend my stay or get a refund even though I paid for emergency insurance coverage.
