Our room was not made up. We were there 2 nights and we had to go get clean towels, and the beds were not made.

Upscale decor throughout the hotel! Very nice!

Stayed here while my daughter attended a camp at UNC Chapel Hill. The staff went out of their way to serve us and were very welcoming. We also enjoyed the bistro service in the morning. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Stay!

Beautiful and clean. Only suggestion is to have complementary coffee availiable in the lobby. Line to Starbucks in the hotel was so long, after waiting in it for 10 minutes, we had to leave do we wouldn't miss our appointment. Loved the accommodations and outside fire.

Dear bear, Thank you for providing feedback from your stay. I understand there were challenges with the television and cleanliness in the bathroom and for that I am truly sorry. I have shared your feedback with the Executive Housekeeper and team to investigate and remedy the cleanliness issue immediately. On a side note, I am happy to share that we will be starting our renovation at the end of the year which will include new televisions, mattresses, fresh paint, vinyl, carpet and couches in the guestrooms and refresh of the lobby, meeting rooms and other public areas. I do hope you will come back and allow us to make amends for the challenges. Thank you for your loyalty and we hope to see you again soon! Safe Travels

This hotel was very comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly

Pros: Quiet
I booked this hotel for my daughter and I to stay in while we visited the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and Duke. I thought is was a great location with easy access to both campuses and about a 20 minute drive to and from the airport. The hotel was beautifully decorated with lots of southern charm. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. My daughter and I visited about 12 colleges this past year and this was probably our favorite place to stay.

Great hotel, lousy location

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Nothing close
I stayed there for a conference that was held across the street, from front door to Conf center enterance was 2 blocks and they do not have transportaion for handicapped. The restaurant looked like it was carved out of a former area for free breakfasts [which they do not have] not a very creative mentu, but it tasted goo and the room service was teh same price as the dining room. They were overwhelmed with all the people wanting supper the night we arrived - well hello, we had reservations for the hotel and there is NO other place to go. We took a cab downtown one night, that was pricey for 2 miles. Room was lovely, I had a couch and a desk, did not feel cramped for my 3 nights.

Very Nice Stay

I utlilized the on-line concierge service to request a few things in advance. We checked in without incident, however, many of my pre registration requests were not on file and not fulfilled. So, just word to the wise...ask for what you need extra as you physically check in. Our room was very nice, clean and cool when we walked in. We had a king room with a pull out loveseat and requested a roll a way bed. The pull out did not have bed linens, so we called to request them. The attendant brought them very quickly and was pleasant. All hotel workers were very nice and accomodating. We were new in town and at first decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. We had all looked at the menu in our room and decided what to have once we sat down. We were told upon check in that the restaurant opens at 5pm. We arrived in the lobby at 5:30pm ready to dine. We were met with a "This Section Closed" sign on the entire restaurant seating. When asked, the concierge let us know that because the hotel was only at 40% capacity, they had only one waitstaff and she was subbing as the bar tender across the lobby. He stated that we could eat dinner at the bar...there were two to three couches...side tables...or we could literally eat at the bar. He suggested that b/c we had six in our party that we could sit across the lobby in the closed section and the waitress could come over from time to time to serve us and check on us. We thought better of this and left to search out a suitable restaurant for our celebration. All in all, a nice stay for the $$. Would stay there again.

You can do better

My husband and I did not pick this hotel (it was a conference pick). The outside is very well kept-I think it is a new facility. The lobby is nicely decorated and the dining facilities are right there in the lobby. The room was very small but clean. The bed is awful-so hard! The pillows were tiny and the sheets barely covered the bed (we played tug of war all night). The street noise is bad- and the city bus runs very early-we could hear it. The inside noise was also very bad. The door had a space under it big enough that I could slide my slippers under it, When your neighbors are in the hallway, you hear them and all their conversations. The maid service was polite and tried to be quiet. All in all I think you can do better.
