5 miles (8 kilometers) from the heart of Puerto Angel, you can find the Zoa Hotel. Alternatively, the Un Sueño Cabañas del Pacífico is 5 miles (7 kilometers) away. Other places to stay include the Villas Mazunte Tierra Viva and the Casa Mermejita Mazunte.
Huatulco is 20 miles (36 kilometers) to the east of Puerto Angel and features Las Parotas Golf Club and Chahue Beach. When you want to spend a few nights in Huatulco, be sure to check out the Marina Park Plaza and Hotel Castillo Huatulco. Or stay in Mazunte, 5 miles (9 kilometers) west of Puerto Angel, where you can choose from the Cabanas Biuzaa and El Alquimista Yoga & Spa. "The views and property itself is incredible. The staff are very friendly and helpful, most speak English so that helps a lot if your Spanish isn't great. Our only real letdown was that Expedia said this place was "all inclusive" and it is not. You pay as you go and the restaurant, at least during our time there, is only open thru lunch. Their food is amazing though and it's a shame they aren't open for dinner. The staff was very accommodating in helping us order food in and have it delivered. Options are limited in Puerto Angel though. Also of note: dogs. There are many dogs in the surrounding neighborhood and they bark all night long. Can be bad if you're expecting a full restful sleep. Overall great experience though and would recommend to anyone willing to get off the beaten path a bit."
