"Polonia Palace is a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous historic interior. My room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet, and the location is extremely convenient. Breakfast had an excellent variety. I also enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant—the food and service were very good.
Unfortunately, there were too many service hiccups during my short stay. I booked two rooms for the first night and one for the second, and asked to remain in the same room. The receptionist said she would add a note but didn’t ask which room I wanted, so I had to return the next morning to confirm it.
At check-in, I was asked if I wanted breakfast for both nights and said yes. However, on the second morning I was told it wasn’t included. I was initially allowed in, but staff approached me after I had started taking food, creating an uncomfortable situation.
After dinner, the waiter forgot to obtain a required signature, so the payment was rejected and he later had to find me in the hotel to process it again.
Individual mistakes happen, but their concentration during such a short stay was frustrating. Overall, the hotel itself is excellent, but the service lacked warmth, empathy, and attention to detail, leaving me reluctant to return."
