under construction, messy, was supposed to get two queen beds on first or second, floor for handicapped daughter, and didn't. got a queen with a pull-out sofa, was supposed to have a bath-tub, and it didn't, the coffee they had sucked! and only got luke warm!will never go back again!

We arrived at 5:30pm to be told our room had not been cleaned yet. I made these reservations in April for a check-in in Sept. I asked how long it would take to get the room done. 1 person behind the counter said 45 mins and another said "we'll just have them do a quick clean" In 15 mins they said the room was ready- you can imagine the rest: trash on the bathroom floor, carpet didn't look as through it had been swept, and safe wouldn't open. One Reception person told the man assisting us to give us free breakfast tickets. He said "why?" He had already made sarcastic remarks about the large group of people who were staying there for a seminar in town. Then he charged us $24 X 2 for parking onsite. Give that for free if you want to show some concern. I didn't give it a "Horrible" but feel like it.

disappointing visit...

Pros: With the exception of the one staffer, we really like the staff here. Especially the restaurant staff, who are always super nice and friendly to us.
Cons: soundproof the walls
Location: close to Moda Center and restaurants
We were not able to get a room with two queen beds and instead had a king with a pullout sofa bed. It was very uncomfortable so tried asking to switch if another opened up. No luck, but we were no told no less that three times that because we booked through a 3rd party we were not guaranteed a certain room. I could understand because they were booked solid all weekend it wasn't possible to get a queen room, but it almost seemed like we were being penalized for not booking directly. I have used a travel website each time we've stayed here and never had an issue. Nor were we made to feel like that was a particular issue. There was a person named Melody (?) who I spoke with and she was condescending and rude to me and again had to remind me I booked through a 3rd party. Just added to the experience of a disappointing stay. The hotel was full of teenagers and you could hear them all night banging on the walls and talking in the hallways. Which reminds me of when we stayed there the weekend of March 3rd, I was in the bathroom and asked my husband the time and someone next door answered 5:30!!! I really like staying here because of the proximity to the Moda Center, but after this past weekend I felt letdown with the excuse of "third-party" booking to not be accommodated.

I am disappointed that we did not live up to this guests expectations and I would like to assure future guests that we aim to treat all guest this same, no matter how they booked their reservation. It does appear that this guest did not book a guaranteed bed type, unfortunately because we were sold out we did not have a two bedded room available otherwise we would be happy to accommodate their request. I do want to apologize that we left an impression that the way a guest booked rather than the terms of the reservation left a bad taste. Thanks for staying, I will take your comments constructively.

Great location for Blazer game

Pros: The location; the amenities and staff
Location: Super super close to the Moda Center and Convention Center; and not far from Lloyd Center
We had a great room that was very clean and had an ever better view!! My ONE complaint would be that the windows seemed to be kind of thin and shaky. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and swam and ate while at hotel. The restaurant has great food and helpful staff.

Avoid Crown Plaza

Pros: Not much. The room was satisfactory, the dining was slow and overpriced.
Cons: Not overbook the hotel. If I pay for it, a month ahead, I expect my room.
Upon arriving, it took 5 minutes of whispers and getting a manager before we were told that there was a problem. The night manager told us that they did not have a room available. We asked why, she said that they had water damage in a few rooms. They moved us across town to another hotel, which was very inconvenient because we were attending an event at the convention center, which is why we choose the Crown Plaza. On the trip over to the other hotel, the shuttle drive apologized again, but added "They are always over booking, this happens a lot." I was very frustrated, as we didn't just have a reservation, we had a pre-paid room. The hassle of the extra distance and the extra time getting into the other hotel actually ruined the weekend. The event we were in town for was tainted by being tired and frustrated from the problem, which now included checking out of the other hotel after 6 hours, so we could come back to the Crown Plaza for the final two nights. In addition, the free Internet was such a low quality that it was worthless.
