Plaffeien has only one hotel option. So if you wish to stay a convenient drive from Plaffeien's downtown area, it is recommended you book early.

The Le Grand Bellevue is approximately 15 miles (23 kilometers) outside of the main part of Plaffeien. That means there's no access to the bed from one side, not to mention a bedside table where it would be nice to put a phone, water, or anything else. And if you need to get out of bed at night for any reason, you'll have to climb over the person next to you or get up together. We didn't even bother considering the other "perks" of this room. Such rooms are supposed to be for single occupants, not for a couple. When we expressed all this at the reception desk and asked to change to another room, we were assured that all standard rooms are like this, and if we wanted something different, we'd have to pay extra, which we did, as it was impossible to stay in such a room. The room we got was a little larger, and thankfully the bed was accessible from both sides, but it didn't have anything other than a coffee maker to qualify as a 4-star hotel. On the plus side, the hotel is very well located, in the center and close to the train station. Breakfasts were decent. If anyone does decide to book it, they'd be looking for a room other than the standard room, but I'm sure you can find a much better hotel."
