The lodge at Pensacola (NOT)

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The room listed in the ad is photoshopped, the beds had bugs, I was given towels balled up straight off the laundry room floor. The Ho-tel looks like a place for crackheads and hookers. Do not book this ho-tel or you will regret it.

The ABSOLUTE WORST!

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: EVERYTHING
We booked this hotel through a Travelocity "Top Secret" deal. We were making a quick trip to Pensacola to help our son with a move. This hotel was the WORST place we have EVER stayed! It was filthy dirty. The carpets were ripped and held together with duct tape in places. The shower rod fell off the wall twice. The walls were so thin we heard everything and everyone. We booked three nights, stayed two, and can't believe we lasted that long. Even though we lost money by leaving a night early it was worth it for cleanliness and peace of mind. This place was GROSS, GROSS, GROSS! When you book a Top Secret deal you agree to pre-pay and can't get your money back which is a shame because a place like this must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Stayed here for 2 nights during hurricane Isaac

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, gross overall.
What a nightmare place to stay! One light only in the dingy room, unidentifiable stains and sticky stuff on floor and a hide-a-bed couch that looked like it was straight out of the dump. One dingy towel set in the bathroom. Someones used soap in the shower and no cold running water in the sink. No mattress pad on the bed and dirty ragged skirt on the bed, and one threadbare blanket. (sheets and blanket did look clean). Pillows flat. The air conditioner front was off with no filter etc. Stains and mildew all over especially in bathroom. Furniture was broken and or damaged. I had to pay a non-refundable pet deposit on this room and a cleaning deposit. What a joke. People and kids running up and down hallway..guest room doors hanging open. I was just glad to be in a safe building for the storm and it was better than a shelter. The rates..though not as advertised were very cheap..but the room should at least be clean.

The gal at the front desk was great, the rooms were awful!

Cons: Noisy, Poor breakfast, bad rooms
It is a hotel they are redoing, and it shouldn't be open until they are done. The pictures on the site are not true of the hotel. The mattresses were left over and of poor quality. They did not clean up the room after they sprayed texturizer on the ceiling and spatter was on the curtains and mirrors. The rooms are not clean and very old! Only one light for the whole room, bathroom floor was not washed and dirty. Tub is cracked and stained, one of our two rooms the drain was plugged. The faucet leaked when you turned it on. The room smelled, the air conditioner didn't work right. The maid threw away 3 sacks that were sitting on the couch, because she thought it was trash. two were snack bags and one had swim suits in it. Needless to say it's a bad place to stay! The help at the front desk was the only good thing about the hotel.

One of my worst experiences

No internet access in the room, one has to go to the lobby for using the internet. Non-smoking rooms smell of smoke. The bathroom had leakages, dirty water..

Very amazing stay!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
This hotel is a definite must see. The pictures simply do not do this hotel justice. It has just been completely remodeled and it shows. The pool fence has been painted and there are now awnings above the entrances. The staff was so helpful from the very beginning. The front desk clerks were outstanding. They offered assistance with our bags and made sure to convey that if we needed anything during our stay we could let them know. The room was perfect, the ac was on and had the room cooled. The linens felt fresh and smelled clean. Overall, very pleasant stay. We will most certainly be back.
