Had a great experience up to the moment we waked into the hotel. After specifically asking her to ensure that I had a no smoking room the receptionist warmly smiled and said, " all of our rooms are no smoking." She ensured me that there would be no concerns about my allergy to smoke. This was where the wheels began falling off the bus. The walk thru the hallway to the room yielded a smell that could only be described as confusing and unsettling. Think, hot potpourri soaked in pond water with cigarette butts stewing in it. the stale stench of smoke hung in our room to greet us. Torn carpet drew your attention toward hideous surprises lurking below waist level eye site. These surprises included blood stains what appeared to be stains from a stew of blood, fecal and likely seminal fluids on the mattress cover under our sheets. Smoke plagued us all night and despite numerous calls placed to the front office requesting help, no help was give. We were greeted on the phone by a housekeeper that could not have cared less about the fact that it is part of the built in culture to allow guests to smoke into the vents. This hotel should really be shut down.

I didn’t like that when we asked if our room could be cleaned, the house keeper stated “this ain’t a real hotel, we don’t do that. You have to go down stairs and get yo own stuff.”

Bathroom had hair in tub drain. Kitchen was old and rusty. Lightning in sever need of updates. Tv on low table that was hard to see from bed. Overall this could be a nice place for its in a great location.

I had no problems with the overall appearance of the hotel. My issue was being turned away at the desk for placing a reservation online and paying 10 minutes from checking in. The desk clerk sold the last room without checking the system to see the update of my reservation and sold the last room to the customers in front of me at the desk. I've never experienced anything like that with reserving and paying for a room.
