Work project

Stayed at the cabin while on a work project taking place in ridgeway at the old firehouse. Couldn’t of stayed at a more relaxing location. The weather was perfect and the river added a soothing ambience. The place was clean and felt like home away from home, would def stay again if given the opportunity.

Wonderful Home!

I highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in Ouray. Very well kept home and such a great location. Woke up to deer in the back, the mountain are incredible from the front and back porch. Owner is very kind and responsive. We can't wait to go back!

The house was in a fantastic location with great parking. The host was excellent and helpful to take care of a few items in the house that were not in good working order. The cleanliness was so so when we got there and I had to clean a few things but overall OK. The master bedroom downstairs bed was very comfortable. Some of the cookware was old and in need of replacement. The views from the Home were great, being on the river and walking distance to town was amazing. The photos did not show an RV park on the other side of the River and pretty close to the back patio. It did not end up being a deterrent though

Great house and location

We really liked the house, the decor, and the location. We enjoyed being within walking distance from Main Street, Cascade Falls, and the hot springs. There is a RV Park behind the house, but the sound of the rushing stream at the back of the property totally isolates the home from the park. We would love to stay here again.

Perfect Home Base

Perfect home base to explore to have as a home base to explore Ouray. So close to everything and a seamless check in. Everything as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Made several meals in the we’ll equipped kitchen and relaxed in the living room and by the fire pit overlooking the river. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely book again.

Quintessential Mountain Home

Great Rental in Ouray

Great location to walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, and hot springs. Very clean and plenty of space for 6 of us. Loved being on the patio being right on the river. Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely incredible cabin. The river behind the cabin is such a great feature. Patio has furniture, fire pit, and a natural gas grill. This house is well maintained and has everything a family would need. Walking distance to everything in town-including park and swimming pool. We will be back!

Dirty / Unclean Property - Cost Hours of our Vacation to Deal With

I've never left a negative review of a VRBO property before, but I feel the need to share our experience BEFORE you choose this place. We rented the house for 4 nights in June 2021. The home itself is well constructed, in a nice walkable location. Upon arrival, we began to notice cleanliness problems: inside of refrigerator filled with old food debris and sticky spills; the master bathroom mirror was covered in white splatter; a pair of dirty socks left in the living room; the interior of the microwave had old food splatters; the kitchen table had food debris/sticky substance on the surface; the floors (rugs and hardwoods) were covered with dirt/debris/old food; the kitchen counters were gritty/unwiped; the exterior of the kitchen appliances were dirty/dusty/sticky; the linens in the upstairs bedrooms smelled unclean (old bed head pillow scent); and a white dried substance was on the sheets of the bed my son had planned to sleep in. Our impression was that we were moving in on top of someone else's filth. We contacted the owner immediately via text who offered to have the home recleaned the following day. I provided a list of things that needed to be addressed and the owner stated the cleaner would need 3 hours to complete the work. The following day we repacked our belongings and exited the home to allow for cleaning. Upon return we were shocked to find that the only changes that had been made were a light cleaning of the interior of the fridge, sheets were changed on the beds; socks were gone, and a mediocre attempt at cleaning the bathroom mirror was made. The microwave still had old food stuck to the interior walls and ceiling, the floors were filthy - no one swept or vacuumed; and the kitchen table had not been touched. We were shocked and again contacted the owner who offered to clean a 2nd time. We refused and cleaned ourselves as not to waste more time. We requested a refund of the housekeeping fee (completed) and one-night stay reimbursement for the time lost in dealing with the issue and cleaning the property ourselves. That request has NOT been honored. BEWARE: the property is managed by a 3rd party company called EVOLVE. EVOLVE denied our request for a day's reimbursement on the stay and has not responded to an email sent over 48 hours ago. We had never stayed in a property that we weren't dealing directly with the owner. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again due to the difficulty of resolving a complaint satisfactorily.
