Upon arrival, there was immediate confusion regarding the hotel branding. The property displayed a Baymont name, while my reservation was confirmed under LaQuinta, which made check-in less straightforward than expected.
That said, the front desk staff were a highlight of the stay. They were courteous, patient, and genuinely accommodating throughout the process.
Unfortunately, there were issues accessing the room. The initial key cards did not work, and replacements also failed, requiring a staff member to escort us and manually let us into the room.
Once inside, the condition of the room was disappointing. There was a noticeable musty, moldy odor that persisted throughout the stay. The bathroom showed clear signs of neglect. The tile was dirty and had a sticky residue, possibly from spilled candy or another substance. The bathtub appeared dingy with visible rust, and the lamps in the room were not functioning.
The one redeeming feature was the bed, which was comfortable and allowed for a decent night’s sleep. However, overall cleanliness and maintenance issues significantly detracted from the experience.
While the staff made a strong effort to help, the property itself requires substantial improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and clarity of branding to meet typical expectations.
