Close to Beach but in economy rooms, the guest is more likely to hear trucks and cars from road unless guest books ocean view rooms. Economy Rooms may have tears in carpet but refrigerator and m/w are pluses that offset room condition. Screen siding windows with peg stops for fresh air. Morning coffee very weak almost "tea like" strength. Young hotel associates didn't give this guest that warm welcome feeling. This guest stays 150 nites a year in hotels along the West Coast!

Our condo was delightfully comfortable, spacious and well-equipped with a good ocean view. Only glitch was balky key cards, which had to be remade twice before we could get access. Murphy bed was a surprise but quite comfy. Kitchen had almost all the implements we could want but just one cutting knife, a big cleaver, and no cutting board.

Nice Hotel

Pros: Closeness to ocean
Location: We did the Jet Boat tripon the Rogue River
We enjoyed the private patio and ocean view. We were not aware that our queen bed was a murphy bed. It worked out OK, but if we had known we may have requested a different room.

Dear Carolyn, We appreciate your recent feedback of our property the Pacific Reef Hotel. Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts with us. We are sorry you did not like the Murphy bed in your room. Many of our guests enjoy the added living space that a Murphy bed provides. Nice, quiet location

Pros: Location
Cons: Bathrooms are dated
Location: Very quiet town and beach. Rogue River right there.
The young men who checked me in were pleasant and great fun to talk with. I was a little freaked out by the tsunami information they were required to share, but they made it entertaining. The economy rooms are not facing the beach but were fine for a stay. The bathroom was a little small and outdated. There is a very nice beach that is short walk from the rooms. There is a diner sharing the parking lot-you get a good discount for breakfast.

gorgeous ocean front view

Pros: view, room
Cons: salt in the kitchen
This hotel room had a wonderful ocean front view with a patio leading directly out towards it. It had a nice kitchen in our room and a perfect location for our trip. Finding the bed was confusing, but once we figured that out, everything was great. Pros: view of the beach at sunset, kitchen if you pay extra for that kind of room, location, nice grounds areas, nice room, and good condition Cons: hot tub closed for repairs, it's a bit of a walk to get TO the beach even though you can see it from the room I would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant stop along the beach

Pros: View of the beach from the balcony and the rocking chairs.
Cons: The chairs and mattresses need updating
Location: Spectacular scenic views along the beach.
Good value for an ocean view room with easy access to the beach. We reserved a 2nd level room as suggested by other reviewers and it was worth it. The room chairs and bed mattress are in need of updating, but the rocking chairs on the balcony are great. A couple of restaurants within walking distance served good food added to the convenience, and the visitor center close by offered great site seeing for the area.
