"If I’m being honest, we had some serious second thoughts when we first got there. There was a car in the parking lot that looked like it hadn’t moved in years with a flat tire and two years expired license tag. One room had aluminum foil covering the inside of the window. The hot tub was out of service, and there were some unusual signs around the property. Our first instinct was to cut our losses, and keep driving on our road trip. But once we checked in... The room was clean, updated, and comfortable. The hotel was surprisingly quiet, the pool was nice, and breakfast was better than expected. We ended up having a really pleasant night’s stay. The staff was friendly, and despite the odd first impression, we slept well and had no complaints about the room itself. The best way I can describe this hotel is that it has some weird vibes, but it’s a good place to stay. If you find yourself traveling through north central Washington, I would stay here again."

"Just an absolutely perfect place to spend a few days and nights isolated from the everyday! Waking up to birds and chipmunks and the distant growl of the neighbor’s tractor combined with the breeze through the trees to replace the hum of the interstate in town was just what we needed. The Tunk Valley is a gorgeous secret of solitude. Neighbors driving between Riverside and the cabin waved as we passed, making us feel extremely welcome! We spent most of our three days and nights sitting on the porch enjoying the birds and serenity all 20 acres have to offer. The cabin was very comfortable and inviting. Everything one would need can be found in the cabinets and drawers, with plenty of games!Peter was very responsive to messages and directions were very clear and easy to follow. One suggestion I do have is to download the directions for checking in before heading up as cell coverage was nonexistent (we have T-Mobile) at the cabin until we’d logged onto the wifi. Then, cell coverage and internet was crystal! All in all…just the perfect getaway if you’re looking for peace, serenity and a little taste of country/mountain living!Thank you again!-joel"

"It was a lovely place to stay for multiple couples/families. It was nice and clean with all the amenities. Checking in and out was easy and I received prompt responses from the host. The only draw back was that 3 out of the 4 bedrooms were up a set of pretty steep stairs. Thankfully for us only one couple had mobility issues and was able to stay in the bedroom on the main floor. The price of the vrbo was also very reasonable for what you got."
