"It was quiet, clean and overall a great stay. The area seems to be growing and there was a bit of construction near by making a little cumbersome to get into the parking lot but that’s growth and temporary. The room door have quite the slam on them when they closed and knocked my heels a couple of times. I would stay again. "

"Cabin and “outhouse” were clean and comfortable. I took the main bedroom and my travel buddy took the living area bed, we did not try the loft nook. We grilled on the coal grill and had the firepit going each night. I toured the pond on one of the kayaks. The weather was gorgeous and we watched the egrets and herons fish and listened to distant sounds of cows, one donkey, birds and frogs. We were there for a local event just two miles from the cabin. This was the perfect peaceful location to rest after a dusty day of off-roading. Having the outhouse setup took getting used to, but a flashlight for those afterdark trip made it pretty simple. "

"This was such a sweet and well thought out cabin and property! The host thought of everything you would need if you wanted to cook (we didnt do much but if we had wanted to, everything was there) and there were lots of videos, games, and books for entertainment! The best part of this place for us was the large amount of fenced yard for our dog to run and play! And it was so quiet and peaceful out there! The pier is on a cove and we didnt spend much time down there but I am sure it would be good fishing. I also liked that the loft room was enclosed for privacy of upstairs guests and had its own bathroom. We drove out to Caddo Lake State park which is recommended if you want to explore! Its a great park! Also ate at Kitt's in Jefferson and Bear Creek Smokehouse near Marshall. But really, you could stay here and find plenty to do if you didnt want to have to leave! This is a pet friendly cabin as we brought our dog. She loved it! I am not sure if you can see it in the pics, but the fencing has netting to keep dogs from escaping so this was a plus! Only a couple of small things to consider.. the internet is not exactly reliable here.. its here but it can be sketchy especially in the evening. But again, if you are coming to unplug, this wont be a huge matter for you. If you have dogs and want to walk them up and down the street, be aware that there are loose dogs around up the road from the property. Overall, a solid choice for getting out into nature and relaxing! "

"Beautiful property. Great room furniture was very lacking in comfort as well as double bed upstairs. Hosts need to go furniture & mattress shopping!!"
