"We often stay at Holiday Inn Express when travelling, so didn't hesitate to book a room at the last minute when we arrived at our vacation house to find water and mold. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told the room we booked was not cleaned, so we were upgraded. Fine. The fold out couch, which we needed for our son to sleep in had no linens. The hotel didn't have any extra, but finally found a blanket that was ripped in several places. I hadn't brought a toothbrush, front desk informed us they were out and had been for several days. The corridors had panelling removed - it looked like they were in the middle of renovations, or repairing flood damage. It was beginning of a holiday weekend, so we felt lucky to have found a place to stay for the night. While I still trust the brand, I would check with this particular hotel before booking here to find out whether they are fully operational. "
