We had a bad experience at the on-site restaurant on our first night. We arrived quite late and the manager was not happy. He controlled what we could order, rushed us, added a tip as a line item, mislead us about many items on the menu, and even charged us for water. This left a bad impression at the very beginning of our stay. We also had trouble with the TV. The "Guide" did not show what the programming was on individual channels at a specific time. It just listed channels available. This is not helpful. The engineer who came to address this tried to explain why this was the case, but it really didn't make sense. Otherwise, this was a good hotel experience.

Great room size for NYC- we had 5 in our party and had plenty of room- great closet space and the room was clean and serviced well daily. Easy to walk to 5 ave, shopping and subway stops- Beds were comfy and again the space was great- would definitely stay again.

While we were generally satisfied with the accommodations, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the nook containing the coffee maker and under the beds. The shower drain was particularly slow and the water pipes from an adjacent or upper room created an obnoxious vibration whenever the occupant showered. On the other hand, the staff was extremely welcoming and polite throughout our stay. Perhaps, it was just a rare occurrence as this was our second stay there. The location is ideal because it is not busy like the other areas and still close enough for a nice walk to places of interest. I suppose we would consider staying there again if there were no other familiar options.
