The Prytania Park has been used frequently by myself and family as we explored Tulane, then visited my daughter as she attended and finally graduated from Tulane. It is always pleasant, staff is friendly, and the location is ideal. We have stayed there several times over the past 8 years. The rooms are clean, and reasonably well appointed. There was a little mildew on the shower curtain this time, but that was my only complaint.

This hotel left a lot to be desired. It has the potential of being a really unique hotel, but it was very dirty and smelled terrible. The carpet was so dirty that our shoes stuck to it as we walked. Needless to say, our shoes stayed on. There was also a lot of noise above our room throughout the night, the air conditioner didn't work well and was very loud, and at one point in the night, it seemed that something was sprayed into our AC unit-I'm guessing air freshener, but it was unpleasant and far from comforting. Do not waste your money. Better off spending a little more money for cleanliness and security.

A Great Week Away in the Garden District

Pros: location. price value. staff. parking.
Cons: A couple more hangers.
Location: Garden District just a short walk from St. Charles Trolly.
This was a great find. The staff was awesome. Corey was so nice welcoming. When my wife informed him of our Anniversary he knocked on the door later with champagne. When needed the room was cleaned very well. Continental Breakfast is nothing to write home about but hey its fine. The room had all the nice amenities that that they said. Bed comfortable, refrigerator, Coffeemaker. Could have used a couple of more hangers in the closet given the length of stay. TV fine. Parking plentiful and safe- well lit. We were on the ground floor in a smaller basic room. Noise was not a issue but you can hear everything when the morning begins to stir. So if you want to sleep in better be a heavy sleeper. Really liked the place. So close to shops restaurants. The St Charles Trolly one short block away. Very short ride to Canal. We would return in a heartbeat.

Two nights in NOLA

We enjoyed our stay at Prytania Park and plan on staying again on our next visit! It's just the right distance from the French Quarter and the trolley is close and convenient.

Very pleasant stay, and accommodating staff

The hotel was lovely, and we would be happy to recommend to friends in future. While not too fancy, it was clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful Garden District location. I was very pleased that, upon arriving hours earlier than planned from our 12-hour drive - the staff was more than willing to set us up in our room hours early!

Clean rooms located in the Lower Garden District

Cons: A down side for our family was the amount of smokers we found with many smoking areas throughout the property. We are not used to being around smokers
The hotel is located in the lower garden district which good news is closer to convention center where we needed to be but bad news was a little more urban than we planned for. We took the street cars to garden district and downtown and felt more comfortable in this area. It looks like the area is revitalizing - it's just in process. The rooms were very clean. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was on the lean side but was a continental breakfast as advertised. The hotel has character and was close to nice eating choices.

Just what we were looking for.

Pros: Everything as i pretty much summed in my first paragraph. We would like to come back with our grandson.
Cons: Cant think of a thing
Location: As i said the location is wonderful we heard that the garden is the up & coming section of the city now.
We truly enjoyed our stay here. Neat place and really different. Our room was fine, we had a coffee pot, frig, and micro and plenty of room for luggage. My favorite part was the bed it was so comfy cozy i wish i could take it home with me. We had lovely sitting areas all around, outside. Our breakfast was just perfect to start the day, and we had no trouble parking in their own free parking lot. The trolley stop was a block away and there were GREAT restaurants all with-in a few blocks. The garden district is so beautiful and has a pretty secure atmosphere. Would stay here again for sure. All employees are sweet and helpful too.
