The Omni picture on your site is nothing like the hotel really is. The Omni is a run down facility that needs a total refurbishing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s terrible. Tks. Ron

The only criticism of our stay at all is about food. After a long day of travel, we ordered room service so we could just relax over dinner. It was delicious and beautifully served, but it was terribly expensive. I think you should offer some more reasonable selections on the menu. We only ate there the one time because of this, over our four-day stay.

Birthday Celebration

Pros: Classy older hotel. Lots of charm unlike typical chain hotels.
Location: Great bars and restaurants in immediate area
I was celebrating my 50th birthday and had dinner at John Davenport's located in the hotel. There were 14 of us and everyone's dinner was exceptional! Great place to stay. A little pricey but they made it worth every penny. Thank you Omni!

New Haven

Nice college town with Yale University as the center piece. The architecture is magnificent and the wood oven thin pizza from Modern Apizza was delicious

After we checked in we met friends who had arrived the night before. They noted that their TV didn't work when they arrived and they had to have someone come up to fix it. We didn't try the TV until returning to the Omni late that evening only to discover that our TV didn't work either. TVs are a basic standard amenity at any cheap motel. For a grossly overpriced hotel like this $500/night ripoff we should have been able to watch the 11:00 news.

Close to yale and walking to restauants

Pros: location and room
Cons: food service greeter training
Location: BAR for pizza was out of this world
We stayed there during a crazy winter storm while visiting local schools. Location was key and easy in and out of the garage. Staff were friendly and room was comfortable. Not anything special. The only downside was that we tried to eat breakfast in the facility on the top floor on Sunday. We asked if we could be seated and the obviously undertrained greeter said that we could not. It was a buffet and there were seats wide open. When I asked how long it might be to be seated, she had no clue and said I dont know how long. Needless to say, we left and ate elsewhere.

a very pleasant hotel stay:)

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, great service
Cons: no free breakfast
we had a very pleasant stay at the Omni. You cannot beat the location right downtown, next to the picturesque green - walking distance from Yale University and excellent shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly, and accommodating - we were a party of 3 husband, wife and son, we had 2 queen beds, and the manager were so nice to let us have a roll away bed for my son also. I would go back to this hotel, this is not the first time we stayed there either.
