A quiet stay in Hill Country

Very nice quiet stay to reconnect with old friends. Enjoyed the amenities of the spacious and private quarters, nicely supplied kitchen,hot tub and fire pit.It isnt really close to anything, which makes it the perfect quiet get away.

Weekend getaway

We rented the Frontier Ranch Retreat home and cabin for the weekend for our niece’s wedding nearby. Our VRBO host provided us with all the details and information and explained to us how to enter the property, home and cabin. Once we arrived we were able to have access to the property, Frontier Ranch Retreat home and cabin as explained. The home and cabin were cozy and clean. It had all the amenities you can think of and plenty of outdoor games for teens and children. We were 2 families with children staying there. Our family had a good experience staying there and our VRBO host was very professional and just a phone call away should we need anything.Definitely recommend the Frontier Ranch Retreat to families and groups.Thank You VRBO!! Thank you VRBO host! The Balderas.

The Best!

Truly a wonderful place. The property is beautiful with amazing outdoor spaces. Everything is so thoughtfully put together and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and lovely. I’ve stayed here with friends a few times and everyone always says this is one of the best and coolest rental properties they’ve ever been to. Communication with the hosts was excellent, as well. Couldn’t be happier with the overall experience. I’ll definitely be back! Thanks so much again.

Nice home with country feel

Overall we loved this place - clean and spacious with an abundance of outdoor space - secluded but about 15 mins to Wimberley. Highly recommend if you are looking for country outdoor feel with hot tub, firepit, and plenty of shade. A few things need attention - like main bath lavatory sinks that don’t drain and ceiling fans that lack remotes with batteries + overly-sensitive smoke detectors - but highly recommended.

Beautiful house and location

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the bed mattress in the cabin next to the main house was super uncomfortable. The mattress had a dip by the head area making it really uncomfortable to sleep. It was as our head sunk into the mattress and our feet were elevated. We woke up feeling sore and untested the next day. Also all the hand soaps with the exception of the cabin kitchen soap were all watered down. Is watered down soap still effective? Liquid soaps contain a very strict amount of preservatives which prevent bacteria from multiplying in the dispenser. When you open the dispenser and add tap water, you may be adding bacteria as well. Plus the extra water reduces the effectiveness of the preservatives, meaning the bacteria can multiply in the soap. Also most of the hand towels placed when we got there to dry our hands seemed stained and dirty. Like they weren’t replaced before we got there. Aside from the uncomfortable mattress in the cabin, the dirty hand towels, and the watered down soaps the location was close to everything. The house was nicely stocked with spices, coffee, snacks, and pretty much everything you need to cook a meal during your stay. That for sure was a wow factor, how nicely stocked it was with all the essentials. The house and cabin were beautiful, making our weekend trip one to remember.

Little Piece of Heaven

We didn’t get to stay long but we had a great time. My kids ran and played, we enjoyed cooking outside while watching TV and relaxing in the hot tub. The property is so beautiful and so peaceful. You feel like you are in the middle of no where but just a few minutes away are plenty of things to do and places to eat. Everything was nice and comfy and you feel at home. We also loved all the windows. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Spacious property, well furnished good location

My friends and I have been here twice now. There are lots of little ares to gather outside. We love the grilling gazebo! Right near the hot tub. Well stocked with basically all you need. Will be coming back.

Quiet Get-Away

This place is amazing! It has everything you might need. The kitchen has all those things you have in your own kitchen too. Beds are super comfortable and lots of towels in the bathroom. The outdoor space is plentiful. So many seating areas and covered porches.

Great getaway

Beautiful peaceful getaway with friends from Houston. Great amenities. The hot tub did seem to need chemicals smelled like well water but everything else was perfect! Our friends want to rent this for the holidays.

Relaxing Retreat

It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy time with family in a nature setting. The house and property are well thought out with plenty of things to do. Extremely Well Equipped

This property had everything necessary for a large group. More seating areas than you could ever use, outdoor grilling area, and hot tub make this an amazing place to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather. I’m not sure I could imagine anything that could make this place a better stay!

Great place, not great beds

Great property. Lots of sitting areas to enjoy nature. Fun mix with modern larger cabin, attached to small cabin (that needs to be made more clear in description bc we weren't exactly sure what we were going to find). Only real problem were the 2 beds in the big cabin. We all needed to move during the night (to sleeping on sofas) bc the beds were so collapsed. Other than that major problem, everything else was great. All the amenities, with loads of care for the guests (other than the beds).
