"If you're looking for a peaceful place to relax, the Mathis House is the place for you! It's a lovely mansion with a Victorian feel and a lot of history and many breathtaking rooms to explore. The decor is charming and the staff are welcoming and helpful. My room was clean, the bed was really comfortable, there was an abundance of plush towels as well as a bathrobe and handmade soap in the bathroom, and free Wi-Fi. There were finger pastries and coffee available throughout my stay. The breakfast was outstanding! The food was delicious, I had my own personal buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, sugar dusted blueberry pancakes, a lightly toasted croissant, orange juice, and coffee. I had to leave early on my second morning and had to miss breakfast, but I was given two of the most delicious scones and clotted cream I've ever had to take with me. The gift shop is loaded with charming gifts, soaps, jewelry, teas, etc., and there is free parking on the property. I highly recommend the Mathis House, you won't be disappointed."
