Dirty home and pool. The view in the picture bears no resemblance to the house where we stayed. The pool had hair and bugs in it. The pool jets were barely on and did not function as a filtering system. The Jacuzzi could not be used. When I requested it to be cleaned, Benchmark sent the pool guy the day before we left, and he was there for only 10 minutes. The house was not very clean; the refrigerator leaked water the entire stay and had to be mopped up daily. The washer had mold in it. Benchmark did nothing to address our needs, but instead stated, "Sorry for the inconvenience." I have never left a bad review, but I will not let this go. When I reached out to bench. I have also attached their response in the photos. Do not stay at this location, reserve with Benchmark. They are not accommodating, unprofessional and did not do anything but give us lip service.

The property itself was good. Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. Upon arrival, I asked our host why the pool and hot tub wasn't heated. They told me it would be an additional daily charge, which is not advertised or mentioned upon booking. And they told me it was too late to do it. I wouldn't have booked that specific property had I known. When we went to cook, many of the pots and pans were dirty. The golf cart provided was very convenient, as was the location to the beach. Upon arriving back home, I realized my card had been charged for the pool heating even though it wasn't heated and they said we couldn't get that amenity. Luckily after a few days I was told I would be reimbursed. It will take two weeks so we will see. It was fine and we made due but I wasn't completely overwhelmed with the property.

Good not Great

Pros: easy to find, check in was easy, house was beautiful, location was great, use of golf cart was nice, pool was great, hot tub was nice looking….(Description said pool could be heated for a fee but one would assume the hot tub would be “hot”. Also, couldn’t get the jets to work properly so had maintenance requests in.) Cons: the road in front of the house was washed out and concrete was rough, instructions for using the garage and golf cart weren’t clear, never got the outside hot tub to work properly, and the gold master bathroom has a nice tub but don’t let the jets fool you…they do not work apparently. I messaged the host about the issues the first night we there and did not receive a message back for 3 days. I called the management company and they put 2 work orders in for us. We were told maintenance would call when they were on the way. Well…they never called or came before we left. I wouldn’t consider this a “bad review” because the week was sufficient (it was ok), BUT not great because you wait all year for your vacation and you pay a lot for the week and then be disappointed that all the amenities weren’t functioning properly.

Family Vacation

Bugs in one of the beds and in the master bathroom. Black hair and crumbs in another bed. Disposal stunk the entire house. Floors were dirty. Toilets clogged several times. Pool was hot. Pool toys were mildew and dirty. Mildew and mold inside the washing machine. Garage was dirty. Overall 2 out of 10!!

Great rental near the beach

This house was very clean & has lots of space. We had 5 adults staying there & enjoyed having enough bdr & baths - there’s also a 4th bdr with bunk beds that we didn’t use. The beach is only about 2-3 blocks away & we took all our stuff to the beach on the golf cart but if you get there later than 10:00, there is no where to park so we had one person drive it back to the house. Patio & pool were great when we weren’t at the beach. Some neighbors behind this property were very loud at night but no way to know who will be staying around you - the houses are all very close! We had a great time & love this area!

Not the Vacay we hoped

The location was amazing & the property is beautiful with the exception of needing some TLC & bathroom upgrades. The property has a beautiful pool/hot, but it was broken & would not be fixed while we were there. The shower head in showers were very outdated & hot water ran out after one person showered. The outside shower was broken. One of the outside fence locks was broken. We spent the week listening to our neighbors having a blast in their pool/hot tub & taking warm showers… not the vacay we hoped for!

Spring Break 24

House was nice & pool was great. No outlets worked in the Master Bath or entry bath which is an inconvenience but we managed it. The property provided 8 towels for 6 guests for the week, which included use for the pool & bathing. Be ready to do laundry, but there is a washer & dryer onsite. Multiple TV’s were great & patio TV was awesome w March Madness!

Wonderful location with easy and quick access to the beach. Outside area of property is worth the stay alone as pool is large and hot tub is an added perk. Some circulation/filtration issues with pool/hot tub however were fixed quickly by property company. Easily sleeps 10 with lots of room.

Great Escape

Emerald Pearl was amazing! It was plenty spacious enough for everyone to have room the younger adults/teen to have room to have theor own space, the kitchen was huge and well equipped to handle oir Thanksgiving meal, and the back patio pool area was gorgeous. We loved being able to hanging outside and watch the football game. Benchmark was very quick to respond to any questions I had. I highly recommend this rental! 10 out of 10!

Great house, great location

First, let me say our family had a great time at this property!! The house was great for our family of 7 adults, 1 teenager (15). 3 full bathrooms is a must for us!! The golf cart was very helpful getting around the local area. The pool was great, even though the water was very warm. The hot tub controls didn’t work and it felt like areas of the house were being upgraded since there was a ladder and things in the garage and new window blinds in the master closet. On arrival, the door code provided didn’t work, but with a quick call to Benchmark Management they were able to quickly get us in! There were no lights in the ceiling fixtures in the kitchen… fortunately, I found the light bulbs in the pantry and was able to install them; also, maybe it is normal, but every lamp in the house was unplugged when we arrived… so in order for us to have any interior lights, we had to plug in lamps and install light bulbs. There are plenty of amenities in the kitchen and throughout the house… enough TBs for everyone to watch what they want… the outdoor seating are near the pool with the TV is a great place to wrap up the day!! Our family would highly recommend this property!!

The house was great. The rooms were as described. Everything worked well. Only complaint that we had were bugs...some cockroaches and ants. Other than that, we loved our stay. We did bring our pets and they loved the house as well!

The pool at the property was great. The house needs a lot of small repairs. Golf cart did not work, bikes did not work, toilets did not work, shower did not work, overall I would not recommend this property or benchmark for the price.
