We can only recommend this hotel for its location - beyond that the bedrooms are in great need of refurbishment with triple glazing a must. We were kept awake over two nights having been allocated a room on the first floor despite a request for a high floor. Not much traffic use the street but there is a nearby bar with many locals talking and laughing very loudly well into the wee small hours. We had booked a twin room - on arrival I was told there was one 'very big' bed! Once in the room the sofa had been made up as the second bed which was fine but shouldn't reception have known this? The bathroom was extremely dated, decor poor, amenities non existent. Bottled water only provided the first night which was a must for the kettle as the water from the sink came out brown! On departure we were told all was fine with the bill - they didn't ask if we had had a pleasant stay or if we needed a taxi to the airport. It certainly didn't spoil our trip to Madrid but it was a shame as we booked this brand as we had previously stayed at their Palace Hotel in Cordoba where we had a very different experience.
