This hotel is in dire need of updating. The bathroom door had a fist hole punched in it, the walls around the bath enclosure were peeling and there were various stains around the room that I chose not to closely inspect. The sheets were clean as was the bathroom so I'll give them that. I understand that this facility was pet friendly but had pet free rooms also. Ours must not have been; even though I was told it was upon check in. I couldn't stay the second night due to my allergies kicking up prompting asthma issues. We had to forfeit our second night costs due to this.

pet palace

discriminates against non-pet owners, miffed to learn no room is reserved for pet allergy suffers. adequate room other than perfume tohide animal odors bedsvery firm

do not swim in pool!

My 17 year old daughter and I booked a night there as a stopover on our way to Denver. Mainly because we wanted to swim after a long drive. We went to pool/hot tub area. Only ones there. She stepped into the hot tub and remarked "are the steps supposed to be slimey?". The pool itself was very dark (could not see bottom) and looked like it had a film of scum and hair on it. I decided to go in anyway as we really wanted to swim. I took the first step and the concrete stair was so slippery (slime/algea?) that my foot went out from under me and I fell hard on my back. I was able to get out (serious pain) and get to room and put ice on it. By 3am it required my daugter to take me to the local ER. I sustained a fractured lower rib, along with muscle strain and nerve damage. Was given Percocet and muscle relaxers to continue on our vacation. To say the least, it was ruined. The night person on staff "noted" my reservation, and calls to a lawyer are ongoing due to the fact of how do you prove the pool was dirty. I should have demanded they clean the pool first I guess. Never again.

Smoke smell in room, mold in bathroom

Pros: The breakfast was ok.
Cons: When checking out, we noticed a sign, "This is a smoke free motel." Not true! Staff should ask smoking guests to stop or leave the premises.
We spent two nights at RRI. We almost immediately noticed mold behind the toilet and a 12 x 12 square spot that had been repaired with sheet rock. We told the front desk about the mold and unpainted sheet rock square. While we were out the 2nd day, someone had come in to paint the square and the mold spot behind toilet. There was another repaired gouge in the wall near the window but not painted. Staff did not paint that spot. When we returned from our meetings on the 2nd day, we could smell smoke in the room. We reported that to front desk. They said that if anyone was smoking in the rooms, they would be charged $200. They asked if we wanted to move to another room. Our things were all over the place in the room so we didn't want to move. As the evening wore on, the smoke smell became worse, especially in the bathroom. The smoke was coming through the vent. Obviously, someone was smoking in the room above us. The front desk did not offer to go to the room to tell the guests to stop smoking. It was not a good experience.

I only stayed one night at the hotel but was very pleased. Normally I do like to stay on the first floor, but stayed on 3rd floor. My room was clean and comfortable - I SLEPT! the first night - wonderful. Thank you
