Aging Hotel near the strip of Las Vegas.

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Pros: The Staff was great!
Cons: The facilities as a whole could use improvement, but that fact alone didn't take away from the stay.
Location: The strip is in walking distance. We were able to spend some time on the strip.
The Hotel staff was awesome! The room was clean and comfortable. Things are aging a bit, but that didn't detract from our stay. We mostly needed a place to sleep and that was about it.

warning!! Bed bugs!!!

Posted Oct 26, 2016
Tried contacting the hotel from the airport for 30 minutes to obtain info on shuttle. Finally got through. Checked in and immediately seen very poor conditions from the hotel lobby bathroom to the random streetwalkers/strangers hanging out. Rooms were pretty maintained. However the very first night I woke up it itching and burning. I ended up staying up and discovered red marks and bumps from my forehead down to my feet. The following night I decided to strip the beds and low and behold active bed bugs! I took a video. Also I have pictures of my bites which are still visible. The "manager" offered me a refund for one night which I am still waiting on to post to my card. I advise to please do not waste your money or time

A CHEAP room in Vegas... it's ok.

Posted Oct 25, 2016
Pros: It's cheap. The rooms are large. Quick access from the car to the room. Great place for convention attenders on foot and on a budget.
Cons: It's old. The elevators are FRIGHTENING, we chose to take the stairs concerned about our safety. Better quality beds would be nice.
Location: 5-10 minute walk to the convention center and monorail station.
It's an old hotel (I think it's really a Motel) and the rooms are cheap. The rooms are all the same and large with a living room and kitchen area (only a fridge- a microwave would be nice). If you are expecting Cosmo move along. It also costs 80% less than the cheapest room at Cosmo. It's not on the strip and you don't want to try to walk to the strip from here. It was quiet. Housekeeping did a good job keeping it clean. The bed was only okay, but again you aren't paying for spectacular. I didn't use the Pool/Hot Tub area but it looked good. A huge positive is that you don't have to walk through miles of casino to get to the room. $9 breakfast buffet in the tiny bar area. It didn't look too exciting so we went out instead. I saw security wandering the grounds and parking lot at 3am which was good to see. We were going to the convention center and this was a 5-10 minute walk. The monorail station is about 5 minutes walk away near the convention center. I go to Vegas every fall for a convention. I will try to find a good deal at a fancier place first, but if there aren't any good deals, I will be happy to return here.

Not Vegas quality

Posted Oct 25, 2016
I just came back from a 3 day Vegas weekend trip, I booked the Mardi gras Hotel and casino I guess I should've known better, you get what you pay for, the room was plain there were no flavor of mardi gras whatsoever, the carpet was stain and smell really bad, there was a mini fridge in the room but there was no microwave in it. The bathroom door wouldn't even close all the way, I think I overpay for what I got, to make story short don't stay here stay somewhere on the Strip is much more convenient and you'll get a lot more bank for your money.

Reasonable hotel for a frugal traveller

Posted Oct 7, 2016
Pros: Close to the Monorail station, so it's very easy and fast to get to the Strip
Cons: Wifi is poor.
The wifi is not good, weak signal, hard to connect and the signal drops off. The rooms are clean Nothing extravagant.

Not casino

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Pros: Comfortable bed, nice pool area.
Cons: Get rid of hand pay slots, know they make lots of extra $ because people won't wait around for small change hand pays.
Location: Strip, Convention Center, Monorail Station are "walkable " distance from motel.
Desk staff very friendly, spacious room but obviously aged - seemed like converted studio. Day I was checking out housekeeping ignored 'do not disturb ' sign & banged on door to ask what time I was leaving, this was @ hour & half before check out. Their "casino" was 4 dozen machines crammed next to bar, EVERY pay out requires hand pay. On plus side the pool and spa area was nice. Outdoor showers next to restrooms at poolside. Three stories with one ancient elevator, outside rooms get lots of traffic & city noise. If you just need a relatively inexpensive and clean base near the strip it fits the bill.(but I think calling themselves a casino is false advertising)

We apologize for housekeeper knocking on your door early in the morning. I will have a meeting with the department supervisor regarding the issue. On another note, it is our goal to offer a cost effective alternative to the "Strip" and I am pleased to see that we met this goal. Thank you.

Slow wifi, terrible service. Stay elsewhere.

Upon arrival we were told our reservation was cancelled without notice. The hotel tries to charge one night for a reservation to the card on file 7 days prior to arrival. The card on file was recently replaced, so it was declined. The hotel cancelled the reservation without any notice or any attempt to contact us for another card number. We arrived late at night, and the hotel was having internet issues, so they were unable to charge any credit cards. The front desk staff was clueless, unhelpful, and unsympathetic. The property is obviously run down, and some of the stairs are very loose, which is scary. On the third day of our stay our key card to our room stopped working suddenly. Front desk staff told us to keep the card away from cell phones or credit cards as they tend to deactivate the key cards. Perhaps the key card should come with a special metal box to keep it safe from such first world items. The wifi was ridiculously slow; we had better luck using our regular data. Maintenance and housekeeping are not shy about knocking on doors to inquire about cleaning service or polishing hallway floors during morning hours. This hotel was absolutely awful from start to finish. We have events at the convention center twice a year, and we will be sure to stay at another option in the future.
